Trek "Criques bleues et Montagnes Blanches
Day 13 : climbing the Pachnes

Following the path, we walk till we arrive to a small plateau without any wind. There is a fountain there, so we rest a while, and then we continue to hike toward the west.
Suddenly, I see that cairn, which makes a good foreground for a picture of the mount Pachnes (you can see it in the background, on the right).

Nice sandy mountians, I like the rocks in the foregroun, giving a good dimension to the view. Good job, congratulations!

Rebonsoir Stéphane,

En montagne, et a fortiori sur ces pentes rocailleuses, vierges de toute végétation, les cairns (même mal construits, comme celui-ci...) sont d'une aide précieuse lorsque l'on recherche un premier plan ! Bon aperçu de la suite de l'ascension, j'espère que le ciel sera aussi dégagé au sommet...

Bonne composition et belle lumière pour cette photo de belle qualité. Le cadrage plus serré montre encore mieux l'aspect un peu désertique et sauvage du lieu.

Les couleurs sont superbes également
Peut etre qu'un point de vue plus bas aurait permi de détacher mieux le cairn au premier plan ?

Bien cadrée ta photo sur cet univers minéral de hautes montagnes, la polarisation donne un bon résultat, intéressante profondeur d'image avec ces pierres en premier plan.

Le cairne... un "édifice" présent partout et que pour ma part je trouve très photogénique.
Belle couleur rouge-orange des rocher.

Wow this place looks like the typical lunar landscape! I love the rich colours, the strong textures and beautiful contrast between sky and earth. The vertical frame works well here too, creating an added depth to an already excellent photo.

I love your chosen perspective, placing the cairn in the foreground, with the vast mountains behind. The earthly tones and textures contrast in a nice way awith the deep blue sky. Wondersul composition.
