global warming, a photo from Evritania, Central Greece

Photographer's Note

This photo was taken this weekend at kremaston lake, a man made lake in evritania greece. Usually in spring the water level is about the height of the trees on teh border of the lake and islands, but becuase of the hot winter in greece, there wasnt enough snow on the mountains to melt, and to flow down the rivers and to fill this lake with water... I am afraid of how this lake will look like in the summer..... the effects of global warming!
below this lake, lies a village. locals are afraid this year, it might reappear if the water levels fall so much!

Hi Marianna. Global warming is a concern to many. Soon many places will startto suffer from lack of water due to smaller snowfalls. Your picture is very informative and depicts the situation of warming very well. Nice work.

I have seen similar icons from other lakes and I have the same fears like you. Lets hope for the best, but prepare for the worst! Your image from this nice lake is well done with a very good depth of field. Evritania is a wonderful region of Greece, indeed. Thanks,

Beautiful and interesting image Marianna, you propose an important theme with this image, well done, about the image I find it very good and well made, it have also nice interesting points as the small island in the bottom left side that appeal to me for its graphic, a crop and a close up of it may be able to create another beautiful image, anyway, compliments.

very nice your shot from the lake of Kremaston.It's really very dangerous the effect of the hothouse and made a global phenomenon.The venturousness of phenomenon began to appear in the lake and the summertime i imagine it will reach in its climax.Well done your report in this theme.

Γειάσου Μαριάννα, τρομερό το φαινόμενο του θερμοκηπίου αλλά εδώ βλέπω εικονικά και μόνο έχει κάποιο καλό, δύνοντάς σε νε εκμεταλευτείς το εφέ που δίνει η πτώση της επιφάνεις του νερού.
Τέλειο καδράρισμα με πάρα πολύ καλόν φωτισμό.

Hello Marianna,

I love this image for its clarity ansd also the exposure control u have shown by not getting the sky overexposed..I love the small islands which had fomed and the tree line..but I am very scared at the same time that Humans are getting their own planet into a mess here...very well shown the effects of global warming and a very good note....???

Εκπληκτική,

δυο απορίες μόνο!
1ον τι ώρα την τράβηξες αυτή (πολύ πρωινή τη κόβω)

2ον βρισκόσουν σε αυτοκίνητο εν κινήση και συγχρονίστηκες με τη σκηνή; πώς βγήκε το 1ο θέμα κατω δεξιά έτσι;

Γνώμη μου: ίσως είναι περιττό το πρώτο θέμα σου μόνο και μόνο για το 2ο ερώτημα που με κάνει να σκεύτομαι και μου διαταράσει την αρμονία της υπόλοιπης σκηνής

Ασήμαντη λεπτομέρια ίσως, αλλά είναι ενα στοιχείο που λειτουργεί στο κάδρο σου κάπως περίεργα.
