The Tatarna Bridge (Γέφυρα Τατάρνας, Gefyra/Gefira Tatarnas) is a modern bridge over the Kremasta artificial lake. The bridge connects the Valtos province of Acarnania with the Evrytania prefecture. In the same place there was a 17th century historical and famous old arch stone bridge (over the river Acheloos). The name Tatarna comes from a nearby monastery. Next to the old bridge there was the largest spring of the Achelous, known to the locals with the name Mardacha (Μαρδάχα) which means "huge spring". The modern bridge (which was designed by the civil engineer Aristarchos Oikonomou) was constructed over the place where the old one was sunk. The architect plan for the bridge received three international awards referring to its unique way of construction. The GR-38 (Agrinio - Karpenisi - Lamia) runs over the bridge.

Hi Chris,
What a colourful image! It must be the blues, the green, the yellow...
Clever and effective perspective by the inclusion of the vanishing bridge.
My choice would have been to have a tighter crop, mainly at the bottom and right side.

Your POV is spectacular while adding curve of bridge with yellow barriers. They are increasing depth of your photo. But I'm curios about your position hope you didn't try any dangerous adventure, please be careful.

Emerald colored water, typical mountain textures but as you know the sky are magnificent. Perfect clarity in natural colors and sharpness. Congratulations. Have a nice new week.

Strong perspective. Eyes follow naturally those yellow railings into distance. Good contrasty picture. That little hut looks very Greek to me.

The concrete bridge is not certainly a beauty but it makes a pleasurable curve so the composition is a good one. The small altar (?) is interesting and fits very well but the best part is the sky: gorgiuos!
Sharpness, colours saturation and clarity makes it a remarkable photo.

Γεια σου Χρηστο.Απο που να πρωτοαρχισω.Ο φωτισμος και το βαθος πεδιου ειναι αψογα,η συνθεση ειναι τοσο πλουσια και χρειαζεται τοση αναλυση που πρεπει να γεμισω σελιδα.Η δουλεια σου ειναι εξαιρετικη τοσο απο τεχνικης αποψης οσο και απο την πλευρα του ματιου του φωτογραφου.Συγχαρητηρια δις.

Εχω την εντυπωση οτι δεν θα μπορουσες να βρεις καλυτερο σημειο για να συνθεσεις τη φωτογραφια σου.Και μονο αυτο κατα την γνωμη ειναι αρκετο...Απο οτι φαινεται ομως ηταν λιγο για σενα για να μας δωσεις ενα τοσο υπεροχο ουρανο,φανταστικα χρωματα,οξυτητα και προοπτικη!
Εξαιρετικη δουλεια!
