Photographer’s Note
This is a better shot of this famous mosque at Chalkis. Better weather conditions, better camera and POV! :)
Copied from a previous photo of mine:
The mosque of Emir Zade, Characteristic monument of the period of the turkish occupation of Evia. To the north - east there is a marble fountain with a carved inscription.
The monument is right now closed for the public (well, it was not ever open!) and at the backyard are many ruins of greek style marble columns and other greek ancient remains of temples and houses.
This monument is very close to the old bridge of Evripos and Paralia of Chalkis.
An interesting site to view when you'll come to my city!

Sure, if I'm lucky enough to visit your city Mpampis, I'll go there and have a look at that great mosque. I love the shape of this building, it looks very unusual and interesting to me.

Hi Mpampis!
A superb rendering of this mosque. The lighting and shadows are great and the detail outstanding. I like the way in which the wall rings around and the detail of the rocks in it. A well composed and most successful rendering. I like it.

Nice shot of the grand building and fine to see that you are satisfied with your new camera (and lens) M.
Soft and fine presentation also for the use of the polarizer I think.

A nice and interesting architecture indeed. Good low PoV, perfect exposure control and nice sharpness. Well done.

The improvement in quality from the D70 is visible compared to your earlier photos of the same building, Mpampis. Good use of the lens to easily fit the whole structure into the frame, and also a nice situation to test the polarizer - I think the result turned out nicely. Good interplay of light and shadows.

Εξαιρετική καθαρότητα και φως. Ωραία χρώματα. Έχεις αποδώσει το τζαμί μια χαρά.

Both your previous two photos were quite nice, although in the first one the sky was a bit too light.
This is a better one in terms of exposure and light. The latest is quite warm which I like. The clearness and sharpness are also quite good.
It’s a pity that the building is showing signs of the age. I believe that some recovering would turn it into a beautiful place to look at.
