Spetses (Modern Greek: Σπέτσες, Ancient: Πιτυούσσα, "Pityoussa") is an island and a municipality in the Islands regional unit, Attica, Greece.It is included as one of the Saronic Islands. Until 1948, it was part of the old prefecture of Argolidocorinthia, which is now split into Argolis and Corinthia.
In ancient times, it was known as Pityoussa, and later as Spetses. The town of Spetses is the only large settlement on the island. The island is now an independent municipality , with no internal boundaries within the municipality. The other settlements on the island are Moní Agíon Pánton, Ligonéri , Ágioi Anárgyroi , Kouzoúnos . Also part of the Municipality of Spetses is the islands of Spetsopoula and Velopoula (uninhabited).
Ferries and high-speed hydrofoils arrive regularly from Piraeus. Trails encircle the island and total about 25 to 30 km; beaches include Agios Mamas, in the center of town, Agioi Anargiroi and Agia Paraskevi at the back of the island, Zogeria, and two beaches close to the town, College beach and Agia Marina, both of which offer watersports.

Hello Eleni,
Of the Saronic Islands I visited only Idra. But Spetses also looks very beautiful. Here we get a very attractive view with the bay full of boats, the houses with their white facades and red roofs and the whole is surrounded by forested hills.
You included nicely some trees on the foreground and created a well composed and colourful picture.

great view and very nicely composed photo. The light plays very important role in here making all the colors more rich and warm and livening up the whole scene. Very good POV and sharpness.

Ελένη καλημέρα,
πολύ όμορφη καταγραφή του κομματιού αυτού των Σπετσών που το έχω επισκευθεί στην προ digital εποχή για τις φωτογραφικές μηχανές.Εξαιρετικά τα χρώματα και το φως τις φωτογραφίας με την αποτύπωσή τους να αναδεικύουν την ομορφιά και τις λεπτομέρειες του νησιού.

bella vista su questo porticciolo ben frequentato, le barche ormeggiate sono di gran pregio.
Bella luce e bei riflessi, mi sarebbe piciuto approfondire i riflessi della barca blu che si intravede sulla destra.

un'altra delle tue belle foto che giornalmente mi è impossibile non commentare.
Un altro angolo della tuia bella Grecia che si fa ammirare anche in questa per i colori brillanti, le acque deliziose e le colline ricche di vegetazione che si spinge fino al mare.
Buona la nitidezza. il contrasto e la luminosità e ricche di notazioni interessanti il testo che fa da supporto alla foto

Another fresh scenic spot! Indeed a colorful shot, a peaceful looking bay from such good viewpoint in subtle light. The stunning white boats and clusters of houses lead as strong anchor into the whole vista at the same providing the important contrast to the blue water and its surroundings. I love the sense of space, depth and peacefulness expertly taken, nicely detailed with some nice foreground intertest. Surely your effort is well rewarded, wonderful scene !! Congrats

Show the bay and boats anchored with houses along the waterfront in fine clarity and good daylight.
Picture space also well allocated.

Ah beautiful Spetses, I remember it very well. Once, on the way to visit my mother in Monemmvasia, we arrived to late in Piraeus to catch a flying dolphin all the way down to Monemmvasia. So we decided on the spot to take the next dolphin to Spetses and spend the night there. It is such a pleasant spot.
Lovely warm golden light, the blue water and the lush green vegetation makes this picture really pleasant to look at.

Στις Σπέτσες έχω να πάω από την εκδρομή με την 3η λυκείου (πριν πολλά-πολλά χρόνια)-:)
Μου αρέσει το σημείο που διάλεξες να παρουσιάσεις με την όμορφη φωτογραφία σου,πολύ καλή η ευκρίνεια και το βάθος πεδίου,
είναι αυτές οι στιγμές που αναπολώ,νοσταλγώ και ονειρεύομαι όταν βρίσκομαι εκτός Ελλάδας Ελένη!
