Securing the ferry Photo

Photographer’s Note

The ferry Highspeed 2 hast just arrived at Rafina and is being secured to the quay.
Rafina is a small port northeast of Athens, near the new international airport. For those arriving by air it's a convenient place to start a tour of the Cycladic islands. The number of destinations is far more limited than at Piraeus, but it's a much nicer place to spend a night, small and quiet and everything within five minutes walking distance.

Two workers on a very dangerous place at work.
The yellow safty jacket makes these picture attractive.

Good capture of action! There are also many lines in your composition creating an interesting zigzag pattern! The strong colours are also a plus!

Hej Gert,
very well composed image: men at work - and also a bit of everything: diagonal lines, ropes, sea water, ferry, sunshine and very bright lemon yellow colour which substitutes the invisible Sun :) Good dynamic moment! Perhaps I should think of learning to take such kind of photos, too.

this is an accomplished composition. The diagonal line of the rope sketches the postion of the men and the men are perfectly placed.Nice light and colours. A strong almost graphical image.

An operation, which I witnessed several times on board of a ship last Sunday-Tuesday. A perfectly placed men in this composition. Very colourful and with excellent contrast and sharpness. TFS!
