Photographer's Note

One of the most visited sights of Kythira is the waterfall of Fonissa, which you can see in my ***WHERE APHRODITE USED TO TAKE A BATH*** photo (which is also the cover photo of "EXPLORE NATURE" magazine #17-***CHECK WORKSHOP*** . But there is a larger and more impressive waterfall (called the "Great" waterfall, by the locals), about 30-40 minutes walk, down a path, by the small river of Neraida. During this walk you will also see a reconstructed and around 20 abandoned watermill. It's the waterfall that you see in this particular photo.

Once you reach the "great" waterfall you will probably be alone or with the one(s) you love. I guarantee that swimming in the frozen waters of this lake and talking a natural "shower" under the waterfall will be fully rewarding and revitilizing.
