A very beautiful image here with this modern architecture structure. The warm light makes the scene even more enjoyable. Well taken.

A nice capture of the bridge from a unique angle and POV. I like the details you have captured on the floor and effect created by the bridge lighting. Excellent sharpness and clarity. Thanks for sharing.

Usually I can pick out an HDR shot right away, but i'm having a hard time with this photo..is it hdr?
the grains in the wood are amazing. and i like seeing the darkness of the brown colors as we look more and more to the left of the bridge.
well done to create something just a little bit different!

Definitely a Calatrava hallmark, I do recognize his work now from seeing a number of bridges of his. Its a nice calling card to be able to have people recognize your work from the sweeping unique designs of such imposing structures.
I must say, I love your composition on this. Sometimes I do not like the tilted angle on scenes, but it suits perfectly for this and allows the eye the follow the wooden ground perfectly into the scene, and either up the bridge arm, or off into the mountains in the distance. The golden light here is beautiful, especially combined with the cold light on the snow capped peaks. You also got such detailed texture on the wood. A beautiful scene, and a compliment to Calatrava lovely design.
Thanks as always

I am going to start calling you the "tilt-master", as you are so adept at making shots like this so interesting and effective. Mind you, your processing and execution are also masterful. The light and detailing in this image are just mind-bending and the lines irresistible. I love the originality and imagination that has gone into this creative presentation.
Enjoy the coming weekend - B.

A wonderful image seen from diff angle and the composition has a great feeling of depth to it. This looks a great subject for lots of wonderful textures, warm colours and lovely background bundled together. Your composure and mood, is just right for this shot and that brooding sky is very interesting creating lots of beauty and drama. A superb spot, beautifully captured, Congrats.
SnapRJW (31629) 2014-01-10 7:41
Hi Krzysztof - So often tilted shots look as if the photographer is trying too hard but you have composed a fabulous shot here and in no way do I get the idea that you tilted for tilting's sake! The composition is balanced and exposure and PP work flawless. I love the warm band of light illuminating the length of the bridge. It leads the eye to the buildings of a similar colour and along the way we see the bridge upright with the repeated pin-pricks of colour. A very lovely piece of work. Have a lovely weekend. Rosemary
ikeharel (69765) 2014-01-10 8:10
The askewed angle gave extra depth along the bridge view, Krzysztof. Your approach show the golden fabulous light on the wooden beams, and with good contrast to grey sky aloft.
Calatrava style is getting a great momentum nowadays all over, and most amazing is the simple concept of such bridges.
I first saw his work in Sevillia, Espanea in 6/1998.
Fine shot, enjoy a nice weekend,
rychem (34507) 2014-01-10 8:29
Ciao e buon fine settimana

a wonderful composition with well considered and irresistible dynamism. Although I've never walked on this bridge, this place is so familiar and I've never seen Mount Hymettus in as an original role as this:) The tilt is adjusted and works marvelously in the vertical frame, the tonal richness is impressive and the excellently defined textures add to the strong impact of this view. You brought out a fascination and atmosphere I never expected having passed many times from there but always under the bridge:) Great work, congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely weekend,
jcpix (13914) 2014-01-10 19:33
Oh, this is neat...another superb example of the angled composition to drive home that visual impact. I bet a vast majority of people, me included, would have taken this as a tradition vertical shot because of the bridges natural design and architecture. However, this tilted arrangement does an amazing job for the perspective, particularly the way it strengthens the lines of the wooden planks as they lead into the distance.
What I like the most though is your timing, because the combination of those warm accent lights and a darker sky with the colors and tones associated from each, is in excellent harmony. Had this been done during the full sunlight of day, I think would have lost much of the atmosphere and texturing. What else is there to say, another beauty my friend! :) Happy weekend, enjoy the down time.
Take it easy amigo,

chrislo (4155) 2014-01-11 13:07
The image that came straight to my mind when I saw this photo, was the one of a pitching boat. Not only the tilted angle helps convey this feeling, but also the mast, the railing and the wooden floor (= the boat desk). The tilt combined with the dark cloudy sky, gives the impression of being in rough whether. Very well done.

Fajne ujęcie. Doskonale zrealizowane światło oraz piękne, zachmurzone niebo prawie zawsze dają znakomity efekt wizualny o zmierzchu. Tobie udało się to osiągnąć w stu procentach. Brawo! Super praca!

I like your graphic black and white shots, they're always super stylish. But my first love is always color, so I chose this one:)It can boast of a most beautiful warm light on the wooden floorboards and a very original tilted perspective. Creative and well-executed.
Thanks and cheers!

Excellent view across the bridge. I like the tilted arrangement and the excellent light. Very well done.
josepmarin (58357) 2014-01-16 2:53
I think this tilt of the framing adds a dynamic effect and a deep perspective in your composition, creating a powerful image.
The low light of the late afternoon, the cloudy sky, and the golden lighting of the Calatrava's bridge, provide high aesthetical quality into the ensemble.

Hi dear Krzysztof
I know that some people don't like angled POVs. I can't understand why, as I love them and do them a lot too. This one works so well here, emphasising the incredible perspective even more. I like the textures in the wooden footpath and the converging lines are so effective. Excellent HDR here, I don't think anyone could have achieved the drama that is here, without it.
adores (45027) 2014-01-22 15:51
Another good hdr! I like this pov and the details and the sky is also great. You have done a good work here!

mjw364 (842) 2014-02-07 5:57
Nice tilted angle and great use of the lights to illuminate the FG and lead your eye nicely through the shot. Lots of lines of perspective with the mast type line breaking up those lines and allowing our eye to fix on something. Nice shot.
