The term also includes criminal damage such as graffiti and defacement directed towards any property without permission of the owner.

While I'm a proponent of street art, Vasilis, you're right to call this what it is. The purpose of street art is often to elevate old or dilapidated urban spots that would otherwise be ugly eyesores; this is to take a work of art and deface it. Good reportage from Athens, and including the BG - including the man sleeping on the bench - is a good choice.

an evocative and quite sad shot this. This type of vandalism is all too familiar unfortunately. Your image makes a real statement about our society. Solutions lie in the politician's hands!! Q.E.D.
Enjoy the weekend - regards Brian.

C'est très dommage de voir ce genre de choses. C'est une destruction des biens publics très difficile à accepter même si la situation du pays est difficile.

The graffiti does not take away the charm of this sculpture. The photo is very well composed. Bravo.
Have a nice day

Hi Vasilis !!!
great choice to have this photo in B&W.
Good composition showing plenty of graffiti in the wall behind and the decay of society with the sleeping man.
Now...... the statue with the graffiti ....... does not look too bad at all
Cheers ........ no offence please
