Photographer's Note

I took this photo on the TE-meeting with Danos. He said me Athens are solid area of ruins.
But these are very romantic and interesting ruins.
Greece is 25th country of the world where I've been. But I'd like to come back there sometime again.

Hello Serghei,
The image benefits from an excellent point of view that makes good use of the lead-line offered by the row of columns and their shadows. Interesting contrast in tones between the church and the adjacent buildings.

Hello Serghei,
really this is a beautiful section of the old Athens with the Turkish Mandras to dominating the Ancient Roman agora.I like the creating perspective as the light and the colour managementof the image.

Athens-the cradle of our culture.The scene itself is excellently composed and considered.Nice ruins,but also this I think orthodox church in the distance look beautiful.And despite mostly cloudy sky you had really excellent light there,which you used perfectly.Well done!

The strong shadows are stealing all the attention of this picture. But the rest is also well captured and composed.

Hello Serghei,
This composition is very nicely held together by the long line of pillars ending, or starting, with the horizontal line at the bottom. The diagonal shadows are very fine details that liven up the view. The real beauty is to my mind the medieval church nicely surrounded by trees. The bright but well exposed light increase the beauty of the picture.

Hello Serghei, you were so lucky to be in this beautiful spot in Athens and meet with Danos as well!Hard to beat!Great picture of part of the Agora ruins in Plaka. Beautiful sunshine and bright colors and the one and only grecian blue sky!A magnificent souvenir!Thanks for sharing!
