Part one of the roads leading to Zappeio edifice.
Harsh the light of the day,it was about 13:οο,but i think it was managed with the better way.

80,000 square metres (860,000 sq ft) of public land were allocated from the Greek Parliament in 1869, between the Palace Gardens and the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus for the building works of the Olympic Games", as the Zappeion was the first building to be erected specifically for the revival of the Olympic Games in the modern world.

It will be a good experience for someone visiting Athens,to stroll in this beautiful area enjoying the calmness and the tranquilitty,as the dense shadows of the trees during the Summer.

The jacaranda tree,are that you see,which is native to Mexico, Caribbean and South America is a beautiful flowering tree with vivid lilac-blue trumpet-shaped flowers. The jacaranda has many species and the most common and popular is the blue jacaranda tree or Jacaranda mimosifolia, because the foliage of this tree resembles that of the mimosa. It can grow from a height of 2 meters to a beautiful tree that is 18 meters high. In autumn, the leaves of the jacaranda which look like feathers, turn yellow in color and the leaves along with the trumpet-shaped flowers fall to the ground. Some people also believe that if the flowers fall on you, it is good luck.

very beautiful this street addorned with trees covered with flowers, I guess it is a jacarandá-mimoso tree, native from a region near of my state. In Buenos Aires they use it a lot. nice light, framing and sharpeness.

This is a romantic avenue lined with trees of a skillful purple flower, so you're capturing this scene by a good angle and panoramic view. It's impressive in the color contrast of purple tree and tree with green leaves, too. And, the shadow projected to the avenue draws out an additional good atmosphere.

Hello Danos, Good shot despite your comment concerning the light. This is a very picturesque location and the jacaranda are beautiful, and the compostion is very inviting.

However I have one in my backyard and one in the front. Their blossoms fall on my yard and they follow the Palo Verde tree I also have. For about four weeks, I see only purple from the Jacaranda and yellow from the Palo Verde tree. I would never plant them again. They were small 15 years ago, but now. aaagh. Sorry I got on that, Ha ha. However in your picture they are beautiful. I also learned something about them. Good notes. Kind Regards, Roger

Μια υπέροχη λεωφόρος λουλούδια στο πάρκο, στο κέντρο της Μεγάλης Αθήνας. Τα χρώματα των λουλουδιών στα δέντρα είναι απίστευτα όμορφη. Αυτό το πάρκο ήταν κάποτε ένα υπόλοιπο μετά από μια μακρά περιοδεία της ελληνικής stoliy. Υπέροχες σύνθεση σε άριστη ποιότητα και όμορφα χρώματα.

yes, the light of the midday was harsh, but you controlled it perfectly, and caught a few very interesting shades.
I like the deep perspective of this promenade amidst a few beautiful jacaranda trees, with their flowers of lilac-blue color, and the serene and calm atmosphere that offers us.

The Jacaranda tree grows exceptionally well in northern NSW & SEQ (south east Qld). Surprised to see them doing well here in Greece too. The people add scale & the diminishing linear perspective is superb. Excellent sharpness. Tfs!

Hi Danos,

I love this tree, There are a few in my neighborhood and when they bloom it is glorious, it painted the whole street with th elovely lavander purple. Excellent hsot here with good composition, the little person walking adds to the liveliness and some of those resting under the trees as well.
