Photographer’s Note

The Temple of Hephaestus in central Athens, is the best-preserved ancient Greek temple in the world, but is far less well-known than its illustrious neighbour, the Parthenon. The temple is also known as the Hephaesteum and the Theseum, due to a belief current in Byzantine times that the bones of the legendary Greek hero Theseus were buried there.

El Templo de Hephaestus en el centro de Atenas, es el templo griego antiguo mejor conservado en el mundo, pero es mucho menos conocido que su ilustre vecino, el Partenón. El templo es también conocido como el Hephaesteum y el Theseum, debido a la creencia en tiempos bizantinos que los huesos del legendario héroe griego Teseo fueron enterrados allí.

are you specializing in architectural photos? This temple is so similar to the Temple of Concordia in Agrigento.

Hola Sergio.
Preciosa la composicion de la foto con toda la colina arbolada y el templo en lo alto, espero que en otra ocasion nos muestres otra toma en la que se vea mas completo el templo, para mi ha sido un descubrimiento, pues ignoraba su existencia, ya sabes que Grecia esta pendiente en mi lista y siempre lo que veo es el Partenon.
Gracias por haberme mostrado hoy otro motivo mas para desear ir.

Hola Sergio,
no conozco Atenas, pero esta foto me da mucha información sobre este templo, menos conocido que el Partenón, pero muy bello también.
La luz baja y los tonos cálidos dan mucha fuerza a los elementos de la imagen, tanto a la piedra como a la vegetación, con un excelente resultado.

Bonjour Sergio.
C'est tout à fait ce qu'on peut voir et ressentir à la vue de ce temple dans son cadre de verdure. J'entends encore les coups de sifflet des gardes si on franchit une zone pour prendre une photo. Bonne composition et belles couleurs !
