What could be better for my anniversery than posting a shot taken at a mini TE meeting.

my 100th from Germany
I excuse my bad english,but
I hope you like some images in my gallery

This one is for Korkut

I met him yesterday in Heidelberg and we drove to Schwetzingen castle.
To give him a little Istanbul feeling( not easy,because it was f...... cold) I showed him this „mosque“ in the castlès park.

The name mosque is irritating,it was build in 1792/93 as a symbol for tolerance for foreign religions and cultures.
It was not used as a mosque ,only after the German French war 1870/71 by prisinors of war from Maghreb.
After world war 2,americans used this building as a jazz and swing club.
This is a stich of 4 shots and I corrected the perspective.

Zunaechst einmal Glueckwuensche zum 3.Geburtstag an TE .
Zum zweiten, wieder eine tolle Aufnahme, mit perfektem Technik und lehrreiche Notizen. Hatte keine Ahnung von einer solchen Gebaeude obwohl des oefteren dort in der Gegend gewesen.
Eine schoene Wifmung an Korkut, der so etwas verdient hat.

How clever to manage your anniversary to coincide with 100 posts from your own country! Congratulations!
Anything with reflections will get my attention. Here the reflections are gorgeous with just a gentle ripple on the water. Very interesting architecture and unusual for Europe.

A good stitching job with this one. It's a very high quality picture with beautiful colours and sunlight. Good correction of distortion and a pleasing square format result. Well done. The note is interesting too.

Ich beneide dich: ich habe in D gelebt (naehmlich in Bayreuth) und ich bin so viel dorthin durchgereist...aber soweit bin ich noch nie in Heidelberg gewesen...ich bin doch bloed!

mir gefaellt der Winkel, woraus du das Bild aufgenommen hast...und auch die SPiegelung im Teich traegt zur Komposition positiv bei!

That's a surprising shot to celebrate your 3 years on TE. I like the charming bright colors, the creamy building with its chantilly tops on the minarets towers, the reflections in the water, the POV that emphasises the curves, but I miss some more oriental flavour! :)... I want to congratulate you for your whole contribution on TE and I hope to see a lot more of your photos shared with us here.

Hallo Leo! Das ist eine tolle Idee, dass Du dieses Bild gewaehlt hast, und ich staune, wie lange diese Moschee/Gebaeude der Toleranz schon dort steht und offenbar hat man sich schon zu dieser Zeit Gedanken darueber gemacht, was man fuer mehr Offenheit tun kann. Dein Foto ist ganz im Sinn und Geist, was wir hier tun auf TE, auf jeden Fall empfinde ich es oft so, wenn auch nicht immer, aber Differenzen wird es wohl immer geben. Na dann hattet Ihr viel Spass hoffentlich, in der Kaelte rumzustehen (!!!!) ... aber vielleicht hat es ja auch noch was zu essen gegeben, drinnen in der Waerme. Ich hoffe, dass es noch weitere "Leo's" zu sehen gibt, in der Zukunft, als Naechstes von Indien wie ich verstehe ... Liebe Grusse, "thanks for sharing" (vielleicht ein Zeilenfueller ... aber TE-typisch ... und auch nicht ganz falsch) ... Barbara.

So it's more than fair to present you my congratulations for your great gallery and work in critiquing.
The photo you bring us is one of your latest improvals using the stitching of several photos to give us better and more detailed views of what you want to show us, and let me tell you that you are getting better and better since the first stitch made.
On this one the only little problem I find is related with the building itself which is not straight if you compare the left with the right side something you can easily correct in photoshop, but the vertical stitching you made is quite good, as the work of exposure.
Finally I wish that you continue posting for a long time and continue your improval as you are one the great members of this site.

I am surprised to see such a building in Germany. It indeed looks much Turkish, although I think I recognise some baroque or classic traces, which aren't so unusual in Turkey either. You chose a very nice PoV and took wise profit of the reflection and the wonderful light. It's a good surprise noticing that the slightly awkward perspective looks so well.
