Photographer’s Note
This is what is sometimes referred to as the "Mainhattan skyline" of Frankfurt am Main. Europe does not have all that many tall buildings to boast of, and it is rare that several are present in such a small area as the business and bank district of Frankfurt. But Frankfurt also has a charming old city, and as one can see from the houses on the riverbank, the towers haven't taken over completely - yet.
This was taken on a typical grey, rainy October day which explains the grey impression.
I corrected some lens distortion, cropped and resized and adjusted the colour balance to bring as much of the blue in the water out as possible. I possibly overdid it. Finally I sharpened slightly.

Ik vind hem prachtig Per.
Alleen had ik persoonlijk die 2 mensen er af gelaten, De compositie is heel goed net als de kleuren. Erg goed werk.

A really nice shot. I like the two "natural" elements that you allowed to come into your picture, the branches of the tree and the two girls. The boats are also forming a nice border of the Main.
I was more lucky in September when I took some pictures of the skyline, so it paid off to carry my camera three days in a row to catch the sun.

What a 'wordplay' Per!!This already merits a big smiley!! The picture itself is good as well. Not great, but good.

Good that aside from visiting the Buchmesse, you also got to snap some photos, Per. It is well composed, with an interesting combination of the modern and old buildings, a pleasant view of the ships on the Main, and the walking girls are a good addition. The sharpness looks a bit odd - overall it is good but there are some blurry areas like in the blue skyscraper windows and on the water. In any case, a nice take.
P.S. If in the location information, you change "Frankfurt am Main" to "Frankfurt" only, a city plot point should appear on your Germany travel map (like you can see it here).
