German Agace-Pissette Photo

Photographer’s Note

Agace-Pissette is a Quebecois french word to mean roughly a Teaser.

The place you see here is Rothenburg ob der Tauber, one of these countless german small towns with plenty of medieval heritage value and charm. Rothenburg is still entirely walled so this is why there are so many entrance gates and towers. All that does not look very straight but it is the way it is, you see here a single frame, no stitch. It looks also very desert because this image was taken during the Eurofoot Germany vs Turkey match and the whole city was watching TV.

Looks like a nice place to organize a TE meeting ... ;-)

the most charming town on the "Romantic Road"... i have always wanted to see the towns on this route but never stayed in germany that long... beautiful place indeed, and a classical top notch blue hour shot from you jean yves...

Well I have nothing special to say. About the quality of your photos - they are all perfect. You chose the right angle and the composition is always great. It leaves me only to comment the location or the subject, and this place is very charming like all Bavarian towns :)

Dear Jean-Yves, this place is rather a fairy tale illustration or a scene of a summer play than a real town. For me this effect is deeper because of the artificial (night) lights and the incredibly blue sky, like a blue screen in the background. Many thanks, Jalab

Effectivement, un joli coin pour un meeting. Est-ce une invitation ?
Une heure bleue parfaite avec cette ruelle qui semble desertée. L'expo sur les façades est excellente. Un coin qu'il me plairait de visiter.

wouai un agass pissette comme tu dis, toujours a l'heure bleue, un coin bien typique avec ces maisons stylées, un POV tient pas pris au 10-20 bizarre vous avez dis bizarre, ca manque tout de mêm d'un peu plus de lumiére sur la maison de face

I knew this place straight away from thumbnail, it is simply a beautiful place to visit in Germany. You managed to get the dark blue sky in time, which brings the yellow lighting out very well. Perfect detail in the cobblestones, well every part of the image actually. Well captured

Relly a very nice place. It looks like the old times... oh, well, the ground is too modern for the old times.
But the atmosphere of this village is really far on the time and your photo enhances this feeling due the exposure.
You made, technically, a good work with the exposure.

A blue hour expert took a picture in an extreme touristic place without any tourists on it...for me that's the most remarkable part in this image. Further more of course your excellent pov with the winding road that leads us to the far background. aAvery lovley and razor sharp image....very nice work.

Il y a de l'heure bleue dans l'air aujourd'hui ;o))
J'ai vu que tu avais traversé la France pour pousser jusqu'en Bretagne, une fort belle région, ma foi.
Très sympa cette composition autour de ces deux rues qui se croisent et de ces superbes maisons à colombages.
Je ne te parlerais pas de la très bonne gestion de l'expositio, tu le sais déjà!

Too famous Plönlein in Rothenburg o.d.T. You show also here your genius as a artist depicting the blue hour as your always. Your choice of the time that there is no person no car in the street is also very nice.
I have been there to take photos of Christmas market, but was not allowed to do at Käthe Wohlfahrt.

Une des villes les plus belles de Bavière, un des endroits les plus beaux dans cette ville. Tu nous en offres une vue parfaitement cadrée avec ces deux ruelles qui conduisent chacune à une porte. Une magnifique lumière aussi à cette heure si caractéristique. Et merci d'avoir raté ce match à rebondissements pour nous offrir cette belle photo.

a fine view of Rothenburg at blue hour. a well known spot, it looks good deserted, like a trip back in time. "all that does not look very straight" but that's what makes it so charming and it looks very good :)
very nice quaint mood, well captured. the PoV and framing make it a wonderful composition. good tech work as well. great stuff

hope you don't mind me asking: is your monitor that much brighter than Didier's? or was it just a matter of personal taste related to exposure times. there is quite a difference in luminosity between your blue hour shots.
