Garmisch-Partenkirchen is located at the foot of the Zugspitze, the highest mountain in Germany (2,962 m/9,724 ft)
The twin villages of Garmisch and Partenkirchen make up Germany's top alpine resort. In spite of their urban flair, the towns maintain the charm of an ancient village, especially Partenkirchen. Even today, you occasionally see country folk in traditional dress, and you may be held up in traffic while the cattle are led from their mountain-grazing grounds down through the streets of town. |

Looking at the thumbnail I could already guess that this photo is from Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It must be from the colors, architectures, and atmosphere. My own photos from here emit the same feeling right down to the clouds. A very lovely German town. Love the mountain seen at the back. Regards. Latiff.
Excellent POV. This is the perfect shot to sell this region. I love finding these types of scenes that seem just too perfect. I have to commend you for leaving the street lamps. While a tourist brochure would get rid of them, I prefer seeing the reality. Well done!!
