I very much like the atmosphere in this image occasioned by the heavily overcast sky. The maypole offers some nice contrasting tones and splashes of colour. The detail in the architecture is brought out to very good effect.

Despite menacing weather washing the colors you managed to deliver a nice impression of this place, mostly thand to the graphism of this heritage house the street perspective to its left and the big mast, I believed such masts existed only in Bayern ? Too bad about the cars but thanks to this framing you have reduced their importance to the minimum.

Alsfeld....ich arbeite in dem Dorf Alsbach(-Hähnlein),auch in Hessen.
Deine Kamera hat trotz des trüben Wetters tolle farben hervorgezaubert.
Die Kompo ist sehr gut mit dem Maibaum und den alten Fassaden.Technisch ist es auch perfekt.

Το μέρος δείχνει να είναι φανταστικό και μας τον περιγράφεις φωτογραφικά με πολύ όμορφο τρόπο παρά το συννεφιασμένο καιρό. Μόνο αφού διάβασα το σχόλιο του PixelTerror πρόσεξα τα αυτοκίνητα, πράγματι τα έκρυψες πολύ έξυπνα πίσω από την διακοσμημένη ασπρο-κόκκινη κολόνα. Μόνο στα άκρα του συννεφιασμένου ουρανού μου φένεται ότι παρουσιάζουν περίεργους χρωματισμούς.

an dieses Wetter kann ich mich gar nicht mehr erinnern, dramatisches Licht, sehr gut genutzt. Herrlich die Balance zwischen Maibaum und der Hausfassade links. Die Leute scheinen schon größtenteils geflüchtet zu sein. Gute Klarheit.

I definitely recognize this place, I must have been there:) The weather seems worse than when we were there, so not so many people outside. I like your well saturated colours, sunshine is not a requirement for a good photo!

It has to be Germany. The maypole is a surprise, however, I thought they were uniquely English. You couldn't find a better phallic symbol than this one.

That is an impressive town hall actually, all the buildings around. The architecture is fantastic and really very curious. We can guess a café on the left side which would be a nice place to admire the surroundings. Well done.
