Photographer's Note

On the right side is the building of the police headquarters to be seen. That is the town center and one of the most well-known places in Frankfurt/Main. The of that time police headquarters is the baroque guard-house here present, the designation turned into however around 1900 on the whole place and displaced its earlier name "Schillerplatz". 1864 ago the place was called according to its military function at that time parade place.
The Katharinenkirche on the left side is the largest protestant church in Frankfurt/Main. The baroque building was established 1678 to 1681 and destroyed 1944 in the Second World War. The reconstruction took place 1950 to 1954.
