[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Elena Dementieva is a professional tennis player from Russia. In 1997, she entered the WTA top 500. She turned professional in 1998 and entered the top 100 in 1999.

Dementieva is a fast, powerful and aggressive baseliner known for her outstanding offensive and defensive abilities off the ground. Her forehand in particular is a fearsome weapon due to the power and placement of the shot and her ability to flatten it out. However, her serve is very inconsistent and considered one of the worst on the WTA Tour, especially in tight situations.

As of May 12, 2008, she has 15 titles including 9 singles, 3 ITF titles and 6 doubles.

Nice action shot, Anton. So you were at this tournament. She lost in the finals. Too bad. I've seen her play twice in person at the U.S. Open. I like her grit and determination, but you are right, that serve makes it really tough for her. Best, -Hugh

Hello Anton,

i´ve seen the first set of this game at TV (eurosport), but finally the game has been changing; very fine sport-shot, like it a lot
Best regards Bernd

Hello Anton,
Action shots are not always easy to capture and I would consider this as a good shot, although her racket and feet is a little blur. Perhaps you may consider lowering the F/stops to blur the background. This will also allow you to increase the shutter speed to say 1/500 to avoid the blurred movements. Of course if her face is towards you would be even better.
TFS
Regards
Alfred
