Photographer’s Note

It was a sunny spring day on 10th February in the region where I live, so we (me and my husband) decided to take a tour in the Eifel. We visited two castles and saw lovely places...and lots of beautiful trees.
This is one of the trees we saw...full of mistletoe.

Hallo Liliana. Ein aktuelles Photo. Frisches Grün in dieser Jahreszeit. Man sollte es kaum glauben. Du hast aus dem an sich einfachen Motiv ein sehenswerte Photo gemacht. Der Baum (mit Vogel) rundet die Komposition ab. Für mich ist es ein schönes und sehenswertes Photo. Viele Grüße, Wolfgang.

Hi Liliana,

marvelous capture. Most exquisite motive of exceptional green fields leading to a tree with a bird. Country beyond the tree is lost in a distant hazy atmosphere, just enough details to give sense of whereabouts but bright enough to give excellent background to green scenery. The greatest value of this capture, the reason that is for me so excellent is the bird overviewing all that is around. All of this at it's disposal. Beautiful.

I like your point of view because it gives diagonal lines. The lonely bird on the lonely tree that is in a lush green field is an excellent idea. I like the atmosphere. That's simple but a really great shot. Well done!

Hi, Liliana. Well, this looks more like spring than winter! The perspective is excellent here with all those lines in the fields leading towards the tree. I also like the waves made by the relief of the field. The foreground contrasts well with the village and the fields in the distance. Maybe the sky is a liitle too bright.

I wondered if it would look better in B&W, tried a ws, but finally realised that this one is much better with the fresh february-green-colours! :)

Hi Lili,

There is no question that this is a beautiful photo, Germany has plenty of lush landscapes. This lone tree must be kept so the farmer can have a shaded place to eat his lunch while working in the sunny fields. I like the dark thick bands and then the smaller ones between them in remarkable symmetry. Perhaps the background is a bit too bright, but at least there is some detail to suggest there is a town and rolling hills past the immediate view. It is good to see the tree slightly off-centre. Balance (or slight imbalance) is what is important in photography like this. Well done! Have a good day Liliana.

Hi Lili, the first thing I notice about this shot is the colour. The green is very sharp, and eye catching. Then from here I see the repetition in the rows, not of the crops, but it's the tractor tire tracks that really draw you into the shot. The tree is perfectly placed in this composition, the rows, lead you up over the first set of hills straight to it. It's then that you notice the bird. It's not until I drew back from this and re-scanned the shot that I notice the town in the mist. Awesome. Very nice presentation.

I like how you've transformed this natural landscape into a strong graphical image. The foreground dark lines are carefully placed in the lower left corner to lead the eye into the scene, and the tree is perfectly located to balance things out. Excellent sharpness and exploitation of the fog to create a dreamy image.

Amazing beautiful landscape. The way you used the plantation lines to lead to the tree is just perfect, it creates a nice graphism and a good deeph. Even as simple as just a tree in the field of green can be so beautiful. Only few can see that can captured it so well in photography to show us all. Great detail in the foregrown and the faded background creat a sense of mistery. I really enjoy the photo.

Hi Lili, this is an impressive one and for sure graphical, you used to its best the graphism that was offered to you in this rural place in Germany.
The curves on foreground leading to this tree is the key of the success of this shot and the very white background is a little bit distracting.
sharpness has just been stop at right level, this is a very good shot

Spring in February! Such a notion is so far away for us, luckily, as we have such a wonderful winter this year with lots of snow.
I apreciate the runaway lines of the field, leading to the tree, then to the rest of the world, lost in the mist.

ls courbes ici sont très douces, elles donnent quelque chose d'appaisant pour les yeux, d'autant que le vert, couleur phare de la nature nous rapproche d'elle.
L'arbre solitaire est bien placé et la brume masquant l'arrière plan donne du relief à l'avant plan.

Very clever photo, the lines give a great perspective, it seems you were extreme careful capturing or cropping, doesn't matter :)
The sharpness and the fog at the back are mastered!!!!!

Fabulous composition this one. The green color of the field is splendid, and the grey of the foggy sky gives to the image a certain air of melancholy. The lonely tree is the golden point of the shot.

A very beautiful image, of one bird and one tree, but many parallel smooth curves, as if giant comb had been pulled across the surface. The image of the gentle rolling hills and plains makes a compelling and memorable photograph.

I like this graphic composition with the rows of plants curving across the hills like corderoy. The tree makes a fine focal point and the misty background works well.

A photograph where graphics is interesting. I like much the undulation of this fields. A wave would be said. The framing of the landscape is perfect and this tree brings the strong point in the image. I appreciate strong contrasts of colors with the background. Very visual, cheer.

Very nice photo of repeating diagonal lines. The pair of black earth (tractor path?)in front lead the way so nicely. The lone tree is a natural focal point. Natural colors. The faint view of more field & village in the background contrast well with your green field.

when I see photos like yours it always reminds me the saying of ' we should manage to live as single and free like one tree and have peace and friendship like a forest' I am not sure if it is a Turkish saying. Where the tree stands is so beautiful , and the road leads you to a village behind. Wonderfull colors of spring and enough sharpness. Thank you.

Une photo simple, bien composée et merveilleuse à la fois avec l'arbre placé en plein dans le mille comme on dit chez-nous. L'éclairage est excellent, le champ est magnifique et nous amène par ses vagues jusqu'à l'arrière-plan qui se perd dans la fumée atmosphérique.
