Photographer’s Note
This is again a view of the old engine shed here in Siegen. It was built in 1884 and it is one of the oldest engine sheds - being in use - of the federal state North Rhine-Westphalia. The diameter of it's semicircle is 120 meters.
Today this shed is run by an active club of "friends of old locomotives" which repairs, renovates and operates ancient locomotives. The steam-engine extra tours, organized here, are very well visited events and it's always a pleasure to hear the sound of a locomotive gaining momentum or the steam whistle resounding in the valleys.
Several times a year public is allowed to visit the shed and the area around when old steam engines from everywhere are presented there. In my picture you can see five of the old ladies. The camera was placed on a rail.
In the workshop you can see a picture from an a bit different angle.

Hello Frank,
you've chosen a funny and really fitting title to the pic. The low frontal pov is great and offers a perspective which enhances the beauty of this very nice old locomotives, and also the feeling of anxiety.
That in the ws is also gorgeous and probably I prefer that tighter version. Well done, my friend!
Tfs and have a great weekend!

I like very much the graphical and almost symmetrical nature of this Frank. You've framed it so well with the five engines lined up. It was worth the risk!!

Hello Frank,
A very good composition of these old timers. Excellent low point of view that gives a good sense of being there. Good colours and clarity.

Hi Frank, well, as you may remember, you're really pressing moy buttons with this one. Looks very much like the shed at Wolsztyn that I like so much, but then of course, it was in Germany when built.
Great PoV here, and a striking shot catching them all at the same relative position to the shed.

Salut Frank,
Ton titre l'indique bien.

Hi Frank. HS...! What a picture. "Photography is the art of conveying thoughts, ideas and feeling by means of pushing a button." This is definitely piece of art. At first glance I get the feeling I should not be there. Two of them breathing steam and smoke ready to jump at me.
Fantastic, Frank.
WS is very good also but I prefer this one.
Greetings from Mississauga. Sunny, -5°C, just after 10 minutes of heavy snow.
Have a good weekend!

Frank,
This is a great perspective for this shot. The rails lead the eye to these magnificent engines. Your lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail. The shot is well balanced and symmetrical.
You can almost here the engines rumbling.

Hello Frank,
I like the POV of this photo very much. The framing is perfect, so I don't think you just placed the camera on the rail. So, is the picture I have in my mind of Frank laying on the ground an accurate one? ;-)
From wet Raleigh- waiting for the snow to arrive (2-4" expected). Interestingly, snow typically comes in from the south- it starts as rain and then changes to snow when it runs into a cold front coming down from the north. Raleigh is usually at the edge. Sometimes, the rain never changes to snow, Sometimes (if it's cold enough), we get an ice storm, which is really bad as ice forms on the roads and coats the trees, causing branches, if not entire trees, to come down.
Tonight, some friends have their yearly ("5th annual" this year) oyster bake scheduled in their garage. We're all watching the weather closely! (If we go, I'll take some photos. I'm sure you have never seen an oyster bake set up in garage!)
Regards,
Randy

-:) Hallo Frank, The pov the angle you used to shot it makes it impressive.
Except that the themes, the objects, these locomotives are very impressive and I like that the two on the right let out damp?

Hi Frank,
When I see this photo I feel threatened! These engines staring at me, wondering; who are you? were going to get you! This is quite a different photo, and a good one!

Hallo Frank,

Interesting low point of view (although I agree that laying over the rails is a tricky place) and a fine collection of old steam locomotives.
All the best,

Hi Frank,
I like this angle. The title is funny, I'm sure there's not much traffic on that turntable. Even though two of those locos seem to be ready for action. And that sdds interest to this one too.

Hallo Frank.

Hi Frank. Reminds me of an English animated children's series -Thomas the Tank Engine.Very popular with the kids. Creative PoV and equally creative composition, putting the locomotives in a line high in the picture. Regards. Klaudio.
