People over 42 years old will probably remember this movie.

"Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" is the first movie I have ever seen on large screen when I was 5. I guess for boys, it was the equivalent of what "The Sound of Music" was for girls, because it features a magical car and a very bad vilain...

In the film, the action takes place in a city called Vulgaria, but the actual locations were the Neuschwanstein Castle and the town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Bavaria.

Hi Andre

What a day, first Luis Alfonso gives us 'Allo Allo', now you give us Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I am fortunate that I get to watch it all over again, as my children now love the film. But like you, it was one of the first films I saw too. You have captured this scene very well, a good POV, nice colours, and light handled well in what looks like tricky conditions.

Hi Andre,
Fascinating place, I like the historical atmosphere and the beautiful details. Composition is very impressive, very good choice the vertical format. Really enjoyable and peaceful spectacle, Great! Have a nice weekend
George

Hello Andre,
Really beautiful place, colourful housing and the lady with her bicycle make a very impressive scene. Colours and sharpness are wonderful. Thanks

daniel

Hi Andre.

Nice, nice colours...the only pity was the ugly sky...arggggggg

Andre,
I like it very much, well composed and framed. I have been there, but it was pack with tourists.

Hallo Kousin,

Hi Andre,
I remember the movie well...one of my favourites at the time. You've captured a very pretty street scene in this wonderful town. The POV, colours and clarity are superb. I can understand now why the film makers chose this location for filming.
Cheers Grant

Andre,
This looks like a ferry tale scene. The architecture is outstanding and you have presented it very well. Your composition including the girl in the foreground with the bicycles and flowers surrounded by these amazing buildings. The eye is led through the photo nicely by the street taking us to the archway in the distance. The lighting and colors are great with nice sharpness and detail.
TFS,
Asa

What a charming little town Andre. It looks a playmobil scenery but with real people. :) I don't know the film you're talking about but I've seen Sound Of Music a thousand times... The sense of space and depth is incredible in this vertical compo. Like it a lot!

Beau boulot, Andre!
Amicalement
JJ

Hi Andre!
I`m 45 and remember this nice movie and the book very well.
Great shot of this wonderful old German town, very well composed with the long diagonal and the girl in the foreground.
Regards,leo

Super colours Andre and excellent composition that makes the picture come alive. One can see the relationship between this place and the film.

Hi Andre,
What i thought was "Haensel und Gretel" when i saw those yummy houses. So German, and so medieval. I love the tones of jolly colors and the atmosphere that you managed to give. Amazed to see such a classical photo from you, but classical is always admirable, especially if it is coming form a good photographer. Thank you.
Deniz

didier
