Photographer’s Note

The Jewish museum of Berlin, exceptional building designed by the architect Daniel Libeskind, was built between 1993 and 1998 and was inaugurated in 2001.

According the creator, the building itself represents the Jewish history: the lights represents many great moments, the basements and the walls the dark moments.

The suffering faces of the picture rest at the bottom of an enormous volume with some tiny sources of light. You have to interpret these cries yourself...

This is a brilliant idea, I have seen it on TV before but never in a photo. It is a unique way to remember the past and looks very striking in a photo. You've framed the photo quite well, making sure that the faces at the bottom aren't cut off. If there is one thing I would like less of it is the reflection coming from the centre of the photo, but I still think it is very good.

C'est impressonant! Je ne connaissai pas l'existence de ce musée. Symbolisme puissant, comme le choix des matières du reste. Très bonne et utile note explicative, c'est très bien cadré à mon sens, PDC parfaite également. Du très beau travail Nicolas!

Cette oeuvre est poignante et le rendu qui en est fait par l'intermédiaire de cette image est à la hauteur. Tres bonne contribution...

Symbolique de la masse devenue anonyme. La souffrance décharnée parce que dépersonnalisée. Un cri de souffrance certes, mais aussi un cri contre la barbarie, le racisme, l'absurde, la valeur intrinsèque de la vie humaine, inexistante aux yeux de certains.

J'aime beaucoup la symbolique de cette photo. Le visage au centre du 1er plan (juste à gauche du grand visage) est particulièrement poignant.

Les commentaires sont aussi très intéressants.

Very nice shot. It for sure captures the human suffering thta happened at the time of the holocaust and that still happens everywhere...
I like specially the proximity to the suffering faces.

je découvre seulement maintenant ta galerie. Il y a tant à voir sur TE.
Beaucoup de bonnes choses. Je ne connaissais pas cette oeuvre que tu nou^s présentes. Ouitre l'intérret artistique et historique, l'image est belle et bien cadrée.
La DOF est parfaite.
