Hey, I know that ferris wheel. :-)
Even though I personally think the post processing is a bit over the top (it may even get deleted for not coforming trekearth rules), I really like the light. The silhouettes of the passengers are very well seperated from the background and their poses reflect the joy they had on this ride.

Raj,
A nice composition..very interesting...Except for the PP on the sky bit disconcerting.
Cheers,
Prem.

Interesting to read the two previous comments on this photo, Raj. Yes, it is a very heavily post-processed image but personally I think the result is very good though I would be interested to compare it to the original. Maybe you could upload the original image to Workshop for comparison?

Anyway, why do I like this image? I think the composition is very strong and works extremely well - the people seem to be swinging into the centre of the frame and are very nicely defined against the sky. I also like the many wires holding the seats.

The colours are rather extreme but work well in evoking an atmosphere of a warm evening, laughing and fun. You know, I can imagine this working well as a poster image advertising the funfair. It would look good as a screen-printed image with bold type in the top-right hand corner.

Main criticism? Perhaps delete the large triangular section of building in the centre background so that all this area is white and create the illusion that the people really do seem to be swinging high above the ground.

I think it's definately a 'love it or hate it' image but I love it!

Regards,

Rich
