| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
62 years ago, on 9th May, 1945, the World War II, the most horrible and devastating war of all times was finished by Soviet Army capturing the stronghold of Berlin.
Millions of Soviet soldiers and average people died, liberating Europe and Asia from Nazi troops of Germany, Japan and their allies. For 300,000 soldiers who lost their lives in the battle for Berlin, this monument in Treptow park of the German capital was installed.
The photo is dedicated for my grandfathers who were fighting for victory and reached Berlin in 1945.
Thank you, veterans! |

I observe a minute of silence for all fallen soldiers, here in Berlin and elsewhere.

Hi Igor,
It's always important to remember people who suffered (from every side, of course).
Regards,
