Dome of the Reichstag, Berlin, Germany.

The Reichstag building in Berlin was constructed to house the Reichstag, the original parliament of the German Empire. It was opened in 1894 and housed the Parliament until 1933. Today's parliament of Germany is called the Bundestag.

The Reichstag Building became again the seat of the German parliament on the 12th of July, 1999 after a reconstruction led by internationally renowned architect Norman Foster. The new dome of the Reichstag was designed by Sir Norman Foster, as one of the main highlights of the new era. It is made of steel and glass and was placed over the meeting-hall. Foster was awarded the Pritzker Prize in 1999.

A ramp leads from the top of the roof up to the top of the Dome, from where you've a magnificent view on Berlin! This is to recommend to every visitor. Waiting cues are sometimes long, but entrance is free. Also on the top of the Reichstag is located a small restaurant, with a wonderfull view.

The original colorphoto was converted into B&W in PS. Somehow I felt like this fits ...
