Photographer’s Note
Heidelberg Castle is the most famous ruin in Germany and is the symbol of the German city of Heidelberg.
The castle has only been partially restored since its destruction. It stands 80 m (262 feet) up on the slopes of the Königstuhl hill, from where it dominates the town. It is served by an intermediate station on the Heidelberger Bergbahn funicular railway that runs from Heidelberg's Kornmakt to the summit of the Königstuhl.

Hello Marek
What a beautiful image! You've chosen the right time for the shot (sunset? or sunrise? but it's the same) to give a smooth touch to the colours and soften the contrast. It seems to get back to the past (maybe 500 years?).
Thanks for sharing with us!
Regards
Azor

Hi Marek,
Very beautiful composition with the bridge in the foreground. The wonderful golden light of day really makes this photo special.

Hi Marek,
I have the best memory of Heidelberg, a charming universiterian city.
You’ve climbed up the hill to catch this beautiful light, low and warm. The reflections on the river are nice, but the one created by the bridge is stunning.
Very well composed, nice angle, castle is perfectly placed.
Cheers!
André
