My forth entry to the Scavenger Hunt - April, 2004

- 6th Category: A shot with a strong element of motion blur.

You could wonder what this has to do with TE. The picture says a lot about Hamburg. We are a very sportive City, having lots of big events in Downtown for example a Triathlon, a Worldcup Cycling race etc. and next year we will have a Monaco like car race too :)

Anyway this is from this years Marathon. Sponsored by guess who ? A camera manufacturer Olympus. With a local newspaper they ran a photocontest I made an entry with a different picture, wish me luck :)

If you come to Hamburg in the end of April don't miss the Marathon it is a cool event to watch each year :)

Nice one Jan. A bit un usual angle here but that makes the picture intresting. Nice motion blur too.

i like the motion blur of your shot Jan, it really makes it a dynamic shot, well done!

Very interesting photo. The control over the blur is very well managed as well the the composition with the main runner in an uncentered position which creats "unbalance" and dinamics. Good colors.

I like the low to the ground angle. I like the blur. I like the tight framing. So all in all: I like!

Cool shot. If I may suggest a different presentation: b/w, and more contrast. I think that without the colour, we'll focus more on the action.
