Photographer’s Note
It took this picture in the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, also known as the Holocaust Memorial. It is a memorial in the centre of Berlin.
It is located in the area were the Imperial Chancellery of Adolf Hitler used to be.
The memorial is designed by Peter Eisenman and. It consists of a 19,000 square meter site covered with 2,711 concrete slabs, arranged in a grid pattern on a sloping field.
According to Eisenman, this field with concrete slabs is designed to produce an uneasy, confusing atmosphere.
Under the memorial, there is a "Place of Information" and a museum. The memorial is open for the public since May 2005.
About the photo: slightly cropped, constrasts + 5%, light - 3%, resized, framed and turned into a black and white photo.

Hi Stef,
How are you doing these days? The symmetry here is incredible, and I like the depth, as the eye and heart wish to explore this endless tunnel. The light and shadow effects are superb with an interesting note. Well captured, Stef.

Mooi werk!
Groeten,
Lars

Hi Stef.
Interesting place and photo.
You play very well with the composition, perspective and lights and shadows. The black and white is, sure, the best choice.
Regards and happy new year.

Hi Stef,
Impressive memorial (I visited it last summer) and not easy to take picture in it. I like yours because of the light and the nice repetition of graphical elements...

Goede foto!
