Photographer’s Note

This picture of the German Touring Car (DTM) Season 2004 presentation was also taken on the town hall square. At 7:30am they lined up all those cars very neatly for the pro photographers to make their shots, hoping the public is still in bed. I think there were about 2 other amateurs around. One of the pro photographers must have had a bad night. I heard him saying "What an exclusive event!" when looking to one of the other amateurs. 2 more pictures to follow with these cars in action in a "Monaco kind of" surrounding.

Too bad that this one can't participate in the Scavenger Hunt April 2004: Spot my yellow car ;-)

A good continuation of the DTM series, Jan. A fine curve made by the colorful tuned-up cars, and the "gap" on the right is nicely filled by the oddly contrasting cobblestone pavement. Looking forward to the action pictures ...

Very nicely composed. The way everything is lined up with the arc is great. And your tight cropping gives it a very powerful feel. Seeing just the hoods gives brings out a sense of the engines roaring. Ready to go. That exact moment where everyone is on the very brink of letting loose. Very nicely captured. So much energy!

I found this one as the best in your series, I like the colour range, and the way you framed just the "nose" of the cars. They are like hunter dogs on lead, ready to run and cacth.
