Photographer’s Note
Everything has been in place on the evening of 26 May 2006. Describable only in superlatives, an architectural and logistical wonder, with trains arriving and departing in all directions every 90 seconds, Berlin Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) was then ceremoniously inaugurated. There has been a record number of visitors during the first few weeks.
