Photographer’s Note
This is a picture of a plate of Brötchen (litteraly : little breads) that a friend of us bought one morning. Brötchen are really part of the german life, mainly for the breakfast. As shown on the picture they come in many different kinds.
The one in form of a knot is well known and is called Bretzel. It comes usually salted (top one) or with sesame seeds (bottom one, less often). They are made with several kinds of flour and with many kinds of seed (roasted pumpkin seeds, poppy seeds,...).
Always fresh made, they are delicious.

Pumkin Seeds, Poppy & Sesame seeds. Great detail on this pic. It is a bit dark in the back though. I have tried a workshop - see what you think...

Now I grew-up with German Brotchen, schinken und fleischwurst! This makes my mouth water. Try a lower shooting angle, and less light on the flash - use a diffuser, a tissue paper or tracing paper, and you will get a more pleasing picture.
