I could imagine! It seems a very beautifull village.

Photo oubliée ? C'est injuste car la composition est très réussie. Cette prise de vue ferait un magnifique tableau.
Très bien, John.
Forgotten photo? It is inequitable because the composition is very successful. This recording would make a magnificent picture.
Very well, John.

Lovely picture. I like the houses, I just wish to see some water.
Love the whole thing though

This one came up on your intro - I must visit Monschau some day - very special, beautiful and unusual place. Thanks John for this fine view.

Today I browsed once again your gallery, John, but back to the older ones. This is indeed a beatiful village with magnificent houses, certainly a great place to visit.

I must tell you, why I took this one for my first visit. We have a jigsaw puzzle from Monschau since several years with nearly the same POV. I like the beauty of this puzzle, even I have never been in Monschau up to now. So it is a "must" to like yours too.
The windows on the house at the right before the curve look a bit blurred, don't they? Do you know about the reason?

perfect choice of the wonderful corner of Monschau. Used also by some members, but your Canon gave us the super colors. The corner where I would like to live. Many thanks. It is pleasure to meet your pictures in my walk in old TE.

The point of view leads our eyes toward the forest in the background. The diagonal lines made by the houses on each side of the river are assets to the composition. There is a good contrast between the colors. have a nice day.

I´ve been there in 2001.This is exactly the view I have it from my eyes, when I think about Monschau.Very well framed picture showing the real beauty of old,German architecture,of course in best quality and with splendid,well-saturated colors. This scene conveys perfectly the beauty and atmosphere of this place.
Have a nice sunday afternoon

Hello John, beautiful buildings at the riverside, showing how people used to build their homes close to eachother in contrast with today's standards where everybody wants to live away frome eachother...
Great composition with nice colors and sharpness!

Good July morning, John,
Excellent quality for a scanned photo. I have used Nikon EM in those far years ;)
I'd like to see Germany more widely, I hope to get big tour around Deutschland sometime.
Have a good new week!

Very interesting region of Germany, I have lived in this country 7 years but never really visited this area which I really regret. Beautiful POV here which shows not only a great characteristic architecture but also a beautiful location of this village.
Very well done!!

Those two men sitting on the balcony on right side, enjoy a great view over the small creek croosing town, John.
From your perspective, though, you managed to collect the curve of the gorge, disappearing behind the houses.
Typical wooden beams half-timber houses marvelousely shown.
Have a nice sunday afternoon,

Going back a ways for this, myself and the actual date this was taken. :) Living in the desert, I can certainly sympathize with a dry river bed, I see them throughout the city every day. To my desert eyes, this one is actually quite full of flowing water...although, my perspective is much different than most, I'm sure this is far from being at its potential. None the less, it's a beautiful collection of timbered design and natural elements that come together rather nicely for a relaxing and picturesque setting. The timing of an image doesn't need to be recent to still hold value and appeal, and this is a fine example of just that! Enjoy the new day. All the best.
