Photographer’s Note
Berlin has no definite centre and pockets of attractions are dotted all over. The densest array of sights lies to the east of the Brandenburg Gate, on either side of Unter den Linden. West Berlin's centre has less to offer.
Nevertheless visitors should take a look at the broken shard of a church, the Kaiser Wilhelm Gedächtniskirche in Breitscheidplatz along the Tauentzienstraße , which serves as a brutal reminder of World War II.
The median strip of the Tauentzienstraße is relaxed by modern art. Here a view of the Mercedes Palace of the Europa Center towards a modern chains-statue in the foreground.

I find the shot original and interesting. The composition is good with a juxtaposition of architectural elements. Quite a geometrical shot with nice lines and repetition of patterns.
A friend of mine went to Berlin last week but she was not delighted with it as she said there was no architectural harmony in this town. From the different shots I see of the German capital, I must say I see more modern elements than ancient ones, surely due to its history.

Serwus Roberta !
You've got great eye for architectural shots, no doubt.
Grey and blue tones work perfect here.
I know the place quit good. I was there before and after the fall of the Wall. And must say I got some scary memories, especially from the East side, even if I was also living under communist regime. Entanglements, cannons aimed at people from the East Berlin, checkpoints and so on.. - I've never seen such armament in Poland. Strange times...
Fortunately, it is history now :)
All the best,
Mat

Roberta, j'aime cette photo pour son POV et sa composition où les courbes se disputent l'espace avec les lignes droites. Les couleurs sont en harmonie dans les gris, gris-bleu et bleu.
