Photographer’s Note
In the city of Trier you can find many different architecture. A lot of Roman buildings as for example the well-known Porta Niagra which I posted earlier.
Close to the market-place, the centre of the city, you can find the architecture as you see in my today's poicture. I don't know exactly, but I think this could be "Jugendstil".
Something different from me, hope you like it...

Hi Hans, very beautiful composition with a fine detail in foreground and the front of the other street side in background, which gives a great dynamic to the pic. I'm not sure about Jugendstil, maybe a bit earlier? 2nd half of the 19th century? Great shot!

Beautiful building you caught, Hans.
The filigree arcs of the balcony repeated with the windows; Looks the sandstone of the right part was cleaned recently. Did you noticed, people hanged up plastic ravens out on the balconies to scare away doves, which do with their excrement, in combination with rain, a real damage to the stone.

Hallo Hans,
Prachtig POV. Een hele interessante, gecompliceerde constructie. Eigenlijk zijn het 2 foto’s in een. Ik vind het erg indrukwekkend.

Hi Hans, well handled exposure in this fine archi-shot. I don't think this is Jugendstil, it looks very electic. There's a richness of details to be savoured and the perspective works very fine here - a feast for the eyes! Well done.
Regards from Rotterdam, Bert.

Hoi Hans,
Mooi werk!
Prettig weekend,

Maybe different from You,but I don't think so!because one of your great style is finding a best POV and angle for showing the city architecture and you shown this matter with a great serie about Amsterdam!
And here I'm wondering about framing with you did with building in left, indeed skilfully worked and seen.
also details, colors and contrast are great, real and well made harmonic.
Strongly composed and a nice architecture shot,I appreciate it,Hans!

Goedeavond Hans,

Great ! I love this angle. Doing so, you've also proven a good mastering of the light, having captured this sweeeeeet angel in a dark zone, without having burned the sky. This is really well done, congrats !

Hi Hans,
Wow!! Amazing!! The angel at the dimmed foreground and beautiful architecture under the light. Very very well composed image. The arcs of the balconies and the doors parallel to them make a very lovely repetitive scene here. Sharp and well colored image as well. Are the birds (ravens) real or as Knut says??
Good job and thanks for sharing...

I like the little guy. Impressive decorations on the buildings. It’s a nice composition but he also deserves a close-up… I bet you also have one.

Hi Hans - another example of beautiful architecture, and flower bedecked facades of course. The suspended birds look interesting as well.

My goodness Hans what a lovely Corbel on the left. Interesting pattern too. I have been making corbels in my workshop. The details on the archways on the building is very ornate. Modern man has alot to learn about workmsndhip like this, Its alot more than nailing 2 by 4'd together! Good work!
