hey Paolo!
great photograph, i've always come to dislike the heavyness of communist architecture, and this is amongst one of the ugliest pieces of communist design other then the tv tower in Prague.
I've always wondered how this tower supposedly in its shadow looks like a cross. I've read that in some book a while ago but i could never figure it out...

I don't see why this isn't more popular. I love the abstract point of view, and confusion over angles. Which tower is straight and which is bent? The colours are bold and strong and the lighting is great!

A very interesting photo Paulo! I like the perspective from which you took it. It's my second "home town". The sky is very nice too.
Thanks and Tschüss!

2 years on display and only 12 points with 809 view?! what a shame! such an excellent photo, paolo! :-)
terrific composition showing the ("ugly" communist) architecture in a beautiful golden light.
i really like the combination of the two building creating a whole new monument.
well done & take care, thorsten.

Hi Paolo, I spent some time in Berlin, and around Alexander Platz and I've never imagined to look at the fernsehturm from this perspective. Its actually one of the first architectural (or engineering) wonders during its time. Great composition, thanks for sharing...Alex

Hi Paolo,
you posted this some years ago, but I just discovered it. I have to agree with maglex - I have been to Berlin quite often to and never thought of a pov like this. Very sharp and it's good thing that there was not a single cloud. The steel-blue sky adds to this modern composition (even though the object is actually rather old...) It just goes to show you that it is all in the eye of the beholder. Great post!
Thanks,
Linda
