This is Pusan, another one of the forty elephant sculptures which formed the German part of the Elephant Parade Trier-Luxembourg from July to October 2013. I wonder why there are not a lot more of similar photos here on TrekEarth. Hundreds of painted elephants must have been placed in various cities over the last years to raise money for the "Asian Elephant Foundation". I guess most of them where placed so silly that it was only worth to take a funny pic for the family album. At least this one was photographer friendly placed outside the pedestrian zone of Trier. I had only to crop, re-size and sharpen the photo to post it here.
Pusan was painted by Henriette Feitler. She wishes the sun shall still shine upon him and his kind in a future in free nature.
