The heat was almost unbearable... around +35C..
My camera became so hot under direct sunlight that at times I nearly burnt my fingers while holding it.
So, nolens volens, while walking along the Allee, I had to stay a while in nice cool shadows of huge trees to cool myself and my camera from time to time.
In the photo: a bit of the river Oos; after crossing the river, the girls are trying to cool themselves in the water.
This photo was shot from the Lichtentaler Allee.
"The Lichtentaler Allee is a historic park and arboretum set out as an 2.3 kilometer strolling avenue along the west bank of the river Oos.
The avenue is said to have begun in 1655 as path between the town market and Lichtenthal monastery. It was developed from 1850-1870, and planted with a wide variety of trees and woody plants.
Today the avenue contains about 300 types of native and exotic woody plants, including alders, azaleas, chestnuts, gingkos, limes, magnolias, maples, oaks, and sycamores. " (Wikipedia)

hello Elena, For those who have now winter (where are they, actually?) it is difficult to imagine hot and sunny days.So it is a gift. Even when your fingers were burnt, it was worth making such charming photo. beautiful composition.

To reach the pleasant temperature of 35° you do best to avoid Stockholm :-). Fortunately the intensity of the heat doesn't show on this nice photo of the girls cooling off in the river. The photo has a superb clarity and sharpness and offers us lots of fine tones of green, apart from the view of the elegant building.
