A picture show people & tourists on the bridge over the Main river in Wurzburg, the Alte Mainbrücke.
The old bridge was built between 1473 and 1543 and adorned with the Baroque era typical 12 limestone statues of saints and rulers from the 18th century, a similar motif as Prague Karl's bridge (source Wikipedia).
Here is a view towards the Marienberg castle one WS added.
Each is a cropped 16:9 aspect ratio, and +0.3 exp. bias due to cloudy sky aloft.
The bridge on map: 49.793, 9.926

Hello Ike, very good view of this interesting and beautiful scene of daily life of the tourists on the bridge, with an interesting and attractive building up in the background, very well captured in this great and beautiful photography. Interesting picture with good sharpness, depth, light and color. Very good and nice job perfectly done, congratulations my friend. Thanks for sharing this interesting work.
Good evening and happy start to the week.
Warm greetings from southern Spain.

The presence of the people is adding life to the scene. The length of the road is giving depth to the composition. The cloudy sky is giving a good contrast to the colors. Have a nice day.

I can't believe that from so many people, no-one is looking at you taking a photograph! I have to say well done, because people staring at you would have spoilt the whole effect.
You have positioned yourself well so that the curb stones lead from the corners, creating excellent guide lines and giving a fine sense of perspective. The bridge has a strong vanishing point, whilst the castle is, also, strongly positioned in the b/g.
Despite so much movement, you have achieved good sharpness to the figures.
My warm regards,

You're capturing well this place by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the old bridege with statues of saints and rulers, and the elegant castle standing on the hill. Here looks like comfortable town surrounded rich greenery and historical buildings/castle in medieval times.

This is a charming photo of people on the bridge. I would imagine they are tourists but do not see many cameras. The palatial building on top of the hill is impressive, too.

hello Ike, How good that there is no traffic on the bridge. When I walk round the town with my camera I prefer Fussganger zones. Nice bridge, similar to Charles bridge from prague with the sculptures.

I like the animated atmosphere and the point of view, which creates an interesting juxtaposition between the bridge and the impressive castle high on the hill. Good colours and clarity.

These picture is the most beautiful of the two.

Sharpness and clarity are perfect.
Very well done, TFS.

A very fine street picture with the beautiful Marienberg castle high above. The museum up there is indeed highly interesting, with many items from the thirty-year war in Europe. Sweden was an important part of this war, but fortunately all my ancestors were Norwegians until 1658...

beautiful town, I have been there twice I believe but never with a proper camera. I remember well this view from the bridge to the fortress on top. very photogenic spot. Pity that you did not have a better weather. White sky always destroys overall impression. The statue on the bridge seems to have a sword which seems to reflect the light and so it seems to me like a Jedi master with a laser sword :)
I would definitely used it as a title here: "statue for Jedi master" :)
Very well done,

nice the panoramic view of all these people as strolling on the bridge of Main, with the old castle on the top of the hill to dominating the area.I like the creative perspective as the existence of the statues that can see and decorate the old bridge.

Beaucoup de monde sur ce très joli pont avec les statues et la vue en hauteur du château, belle présentation
ourania (39016) 2014-01-07 9:34
the 16:9 aspect ratio is very suitable for this scene, the perspectives are well placed in the frame and are enhanced by the people's movement. The background is so picturesque and interesting and we can enjoy and study it easily. The day and its light are moody but the colours have a pleasing vividness. I like how the people are looking away, over the sides of the bridge. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,
Miguel82 (27024) 2014-01-07 9:48
A good view of people roaming on that bridge Ike, they are all in motion, a remarkable castle and vineyards on the left of the frame, sorry for my unusual late reply! all the best, have a nice evening

A real plasure to comment your europen captures and yes I was thinking about Praga bridge
Here turist are all admiring the place ( adding life at the capture), crossing the bridge, not looking at you, are you the invisible man?
Great POV with the castle high at the back and impresive, as always sharpness

I'm really coming to enjoy seeing people in pictures, and this is a good example as to why...they add a wonderful sense of energy. Sure, this would have been picturesque without, but their presence feels to put everything into motion and spices it up a bit. I like the converging perspective from your composition, the bridge leads towards the right and off into the distance...but I'm still drawn to the hilltop castle, it takes my eye from right to left...I like it! :) Enjoy the day ahead.
krzychu30 (15510) 2014-01-07 23:54
excellent perspective to present this old, beautiful bridge. And it makes a huge difference to your first shot of this place. Here we get to admire the whole green surrounding, which makes really captivating scenery around the bridge. Also so many people in the frame are not at all disturbing and animate the whole scene so nicely.
Fine composition and presentation!
Have a nice day
adramad (42045) 2014-01-08 6:56
A magnificent POV showing us the beauty and good perspective, giving the bridge in the composition, the castle crowning the hill, is an important and beautiful element, people give a vital touch to the image.
Good brightness and sharpness, with a nice range of colors.
Well done. I love it.
Have a good day.
