Up on Karl-Friedrich-Strasse in Karlsruhe, there is a Pyramid-monument with the vault of the city founder: A Wikpedia page with a description.
Built in 1825 and it is symbol of the fan-shaped streets if you look over town from above or on the map: 49.0093, 8.404 .
A 16:9 aspect ratio, +0.7 exp bias. This is my last picture from Karlsruhe.
You may see the other notable monument down the street, the Obelisk on far right corner on picture.

une bonne composition, de cette place animée; les bâtiments forment une bonne perspective.

great scene from Karlsruhe ,which abound in really so many details to enjoy!
It´s much more than just the Piramide and all these representative buildings along the road.
Surprisingly even the electric wires contribute in my opinion to the success and add more "urban" character of the shot. And in the end a small human element-namely the couple hugging in the FG.Great,so warm and pleasant addition to the scene.
Wish You a nice sunday

Excellent view of nice town buildings and church tower. The dark pyramid is well placed in front of bright buildings, nice contrast. The view up is very good. The people around add nice life to the scene. It would be even nicer without tram power supply overhead lines, but we have to accept this. It makes me always angry to see too many disturbing items around historical places. The pioneer in this area is Malaysian Putra Jaya and Cyber Jaya Towns which do not have any overhead power supply and distribution lines, all power supply is provided by underground cables.

A well presented image that offers a very interesting set of architectural styles. Good choice of the panoramic format whilst the point of view makes good use of the curving tram lines as a lead-in into the scene. The people animate the scene and provide a sense of scale. The image is evenly lit and has very good colours and clarity.

We get a nice view about this market place.
With a couple that takes goodbye of each other.
Nice perspective and depth picture with pleasant colours
Excellent composition and lovely captured.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice Sunday,

You're capturing well this cityscape by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see classic buildings, curved tram line in sqaure and pyramid monument. It's also impressive in high tower with spire. Generally, the city in Germany is felt like the artificial city built very intentionally also including the building.

this is a nice pov from the tram line of Karlsruhe plazza and monuments, a pyramid, remarkable buildings and the clock tower of a church, good dof, excellent hues and high definition, have a good sunday afternoon

The wideness of the square is giving depth to the composition. The presence of the people is adding life to the scene. The point of view is showing the details, the colors of the pyramid and of the buildings. The cloudy sky does not hurt the output of the colors. Have a nice day.

I remembered your "Obelisk picture", this view brought it to mind instantly. I like very much how you portray this row of very interesting buildings. Even though the light wasn't favourable, we can distinguish architectural styles, details and colours all the way to the remotest background. You worked with the scarce light very well, the pyramid stands out and the human interest in front of the buildings gives the view a special charm. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely evening,

Une belle présentation avec intéressante architecture très différentes, bon POV avec la courbes des rails avec l'arrivée du tram jaune, la pyramide sur la place , bonne lumière

Good Evening Ike,
Although your previous photograph gives us closer details, this shot shows a fine composition, the tracks giving us a wide sweeping curve, to lead between the buildings and the pyramid, where the buildings themselves continue the lead into the distance.
Alternatively, the pyramid and the tall, blue roofed tower, make a nice link in the opposite direction.
The road textures indicate previous rain showers, though the clouds are obviously breaking.
The detail that brings the whole to life, for me, is the couple, strongly positioned, unselfconsciously hugging. It is a tender touch!
My warm regards,

Hi Ike !!
yes.. i can also distinguish different architectural styles..... but to me everything blend well all together....... including the people
good depth of field...... so we can appreciate the details in the far end of the street.
Looks like it was taken soon after the rain stopped.
Very nice composition.

It's another beautiful picture from Germany. I like the openness of this street with curvy tram rails. It's interesting to see the Pyramid-monument in the middle of the street.
mcmtanyel (23327) 2013-12-09 7:50
This is a nice overall view of this square. I hope you got out of that tram's way without making the driver slam on the brakes.
eldancer1 (36343) 2013-12-09 9:42
Very nice capture of those monuments, I wonder what's the significance of those pyramids like the one in Paris. Good lighting in spite of what looks like a hazy day with nice details. Well done, tfs.
UlfE (14641) 2013-12-09 11:52
I realize there must be a lot of electrical lines to the trams in this Karlsruhe Square. I think did the right thing when you included them in your composition rather than trying find a perspective and composition which leave them out. I note that a tram has stopped behind the pyramid and perhaps it would have been worthwhile to take a 2nd photo when tram was approaching in the track in the foreground. TFS and have a fine week!
nikkitta (17066) 2013-12-09 12:38
Good composition and perspective showing quite different buildings, what attracks first my attention is not the insolite pyramide but the clok tower
Nice softs colors
About the electrical wires, just learn to delete them with PS in an easy way , using a tool called patch, but the true is, if there are rails must be also electical wires, an interesting question

Ciao Ike, lovely composition with original Pyramid-monument, excellent clarity, splendid light and wonderful colors, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

I remember this street well from your previous post, in fact, I first thought this was the exact same spot but taken further back for a wider view. Fooled me! :)
I do enjoy this more expansive look here though, as it allows for the entirety of the the tower to be seen, and the curve of the road makes for a strong lead in.
Many strong lines and big shapes for me to enjoy within this framework, and the wet road adds a little something extra to the tonal qualities. The best thing here though is that you caught a couple embracing each other right there in the foreground, a small touch of emotion to the overall scene. Well done!
adramad (45994) 2013-12-12 13:11
A magnificent composition, which offers a varied selection of styles we see in buildings along the street.
It's a good scene with the everyday environment of the street, the city looks quiet, no cars and uncrowded.
An ideal color very natural.
The light is perfect, as is the sharpness to recreate every detail.
Have a good night.
All the best.

Ciao dear Ike
An excellent wide angle shot of this lovely piazza. What are the overhead wires? Are they wires for a train and cable car? Anyway, I like the soft colours and crisp sharpness.
Thanks for sharing, have a lovely Friday

curious pyramid, looks like the roman one. nice details of the buildings ahead with many details to enjoy. TFS.

Dear Ike, good morning.
A beautiful presentation with very different interesting architecture, good point of view with curved rails with the arrival of the yellow tram, the pyramid on the square.
papagolf21 (102390) 2015-02-20 11:35
Bonsoir, cher Ike,
Très bon choix de cadrage pour mettre en valeur la voie qui tourne et le passage des rails guidant le tramway.
Ce qui est également intéressant c'est cette pyramide trônant en partie sur la place.
danos (98487) 2015-08-19 13:33
Nice the view of this section of the town, with the pyramid to dominating the scene. The beautiful buildings on the background complete perfect the whole scenery.I was there ten years ago visiting my son who was in the Polytechnic university.
