Füssen is located on the banks of the Lech River, which flows into the Forggensee. The Forggensee is a man-made lake which was built to prevent flooding. It is the catchment area for all the melting snow in the spring, and is drained after the middle of October.
Füssen is the highest town in Bavaria, 808 meters. The castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau are located near the town

Neuschwanstein is one place that I have always wanted to see, I have seen so many excellent scenes of it through the years. Your shot though, is a brand new one to my eyes, and I love the composition with this fine church in the foreground, while the castle remains mysterious and impressive as part of the backdrop.
The colors have come out really well considering that dark light, and the snow capped peak is a perfect top to the scene. Really nicely done, thanks for sharing.
All the best

Splendid landscape with such a beautiful church. The mountain, with the famous castle, small in the distance, is a great BG.
