In the city you can see anywhere something interesting - there are usually small and inconspicuous everyday things. The banal sometimes says more about the life of the people than the big events.

Wise words Wolfgang. God only knows what is in her mind. Tired of life, tired of love's foibles, tired of family responsibilities, tired of urban pressure OR just tired. So much to read into that expression.More poignant is the image for she is alone under the spezialitaten adverts where coffee is supposed to make the sun shine.Another Schance special. Regards. Klaudio.

Nice artistic scene. I like your original idea to bring to our attention the delicious coffee. Well taken, have a calm Sunday.

Good shot! Taken with superb sense of the moment! The b&w version looks great and fits to the scene a lot. Artistic one. TFS.

She looks engrossed in her thoughts and very weary this lady taking a coffee break. You have framed the shot well with the counter in the background; the juxtaposition with the lady on the coffee poster is very apt. Judicious choice of black and white to accentuate the mood.

I agree with your note but not with your title...she doesn't seem to enjoy her coffee...or she might just not have ahd enough yet to wake up ;-) Cool B&W street shot other than that.

Perhaps she has a headache and hoping that a strong coffee would help! I enjoy the composition with a lovely tonal range in this striking b/W image. You have such a good eye for daily life pictures. Excellent photography where the creativity is in your observant eye.
Kind Regards, Ann

Another lovely coincidence captured in your special style. The contrast between the beautiful lady in the advertisement, enjoying her refreshing cup of coffee, and the tired and bored lady at the table makes me smile. Her coffee doesn't seem to have the required effect.

I returned to trekearth after a long time and was greeted by your superbly composed photograph taken at the exact moment. Reminds me of Cartier Bresson.
bye & have a great day

I like your composition with the frame split in two between the counter and all its paraphernalia and the lady filling the bottom half. I think that black and white was the right choice for this image. She looks really bored or deep in though as she sits there with her coffee. A well seen daily life moment.

This one could be published in trendy alternative magazines.
It is so clever, it needs an exceptional sense of observation and timing. Finest urban stuff. Awesome!
