Photographer's Note

Harbor town Lauterbach is picturesquely situated on the Gulf of Rana (Rügischer Bodden) opposite the island Vilm of protected wildlife. Already in the mid-nineteenth century it was an important center for coastal fisheries in the Gulf of Greifswald. Also today, the fishermen catch fresh fish every day in the Gulf . Weary tourists and sailors invites "Räucherschiff Bert" and a number of other taverns offering delicious meals.
