Photographer’s Note

My photo shows a hiking trail in Rothaargebirge, a low mountain range in southern Westphalia near the small village Grafschaft.

This view from shadow to the a bit hazy landscape bathed in sunlighed caught my eyes. It took me 5 attempts in order to take a photo with a satisfying exposure. This one I liked the best.

Meanwhile weather is grey, cold and wet ...

And I think you got it right for this one Frank. the lighting was difficult but the result is superb!

schön schön schön! Der Baum im Gegenlicht, die Herbstfarben, die sanfte Landschaft...

Hier ist das Wetter wieder so schön, nur die meisten Blätter sind schon abgefallen ;-)

unter den gegebenen Umständen ein sehr passables Bild, wirkt auf mich ein wenig überschärft (lach.. da kenn ich mich aus!!).. aber von der Stimmung her erste Sahne..
tolle Landschaft, schöner Weg..

schwieriges Licht, aber gut gelöst. Der klassische diagonale Bildaufbau kommt gut und die Herbstfarben sind natürlich ein Hingucker. (bei dem Wetter)

Hello Frank,
There seems to be two speeds on TE today - dead slow and stop! The exposure here is perfect to bring out the beautiful lush tones in the landscape to best advanatge. The mist shrouded background enhances the mood no end. Very good sharpness. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Frank,
A very fine reminder of this beautiful landscape. I see it was taken some weeks ago, these fantastic autumn colours must surely be over now. But all the red leaves on the ground here and all the green grass in other places, this is a marvellous combination of colours!

the shot is good, well composed, good handled the difficult light, but what is nice Frank and something where you can learn from is set it on a tripod and try things out in a situation like this.
lower speed higher F, lower light it, try it out my friend.
good photo job anyway.

Hallo Frank,
Mit Abstand eine der schoensten in letzter Zeit. Bloss nur 18 Punkte bis jetzt. Ich weiss nicht was wieder los ist mit TE ! Es wird immer langweiliger.
Hoechstwahrscheinlich wird auch diese tolle Landschaft als Vorlage zu eine der meinen Aquarellen demnaechst dienen !

This is a great autumn scene! You definitely got the exposure right on this one! The lighting and colors are great and the photo has nice sharpness. The tree on the left add depth and framing for the scene.

A really beautiful landscape with last fall colours. You got the exposure just right here. The colours are lovely and the photo transmits a peaceful mood. Also a good POV and composition.

I like your skill to control such a difficult light in this capture. I like the result obtained with the darkest zones in the foreground and the rest of the image with a strong light that she remains attenuated by the mist.
The landscape is simply spectacular, and has a great beauty.
