U1 Hallesches Tor (Subway St XVI)

City: Berlin – Quarter: Kreuzberg – Location: Hallesches Tor

Hallesches Tor U1 subway station, with a delightful Kleinprofil A3L train, passengers and some frolicking youth. One for my Subway stations theme, I didn't add to it for quite a while.

I alas drastically slowed down posting due to my busy schedule and the fact that my workstation crashed. The upside is that I had a recent back up, the downside was that this was incrementally spread over 3 mobile HD’s ;-) My nifty Netbook has temporally taken the workstation’s place in the home network and I’m amazed about the speed of this Atom based system. Running PCS3 is asking too much though, so I’m still using a trail version of Photoshop Elements .

The PSE7 work flow: I altered the saturation, contrast, curves and levels for the whole pic and some elements separately, using different layers, USM-ed, added a frame and resized, enhanced the edges on a 88 % transparent layer, merged the layers and did a gentle USM (0,2px, 92%) again.

Hi Bert,

An excellent shot of a busy metro station. I really enjoy the inclusion of the ghosts. People were obviously in a hurry in order to catch the train that will depart very soon. I also like the inclusion of the roof that adds atmosphere to the scene. TFS and have a fine week!

Hallo Bert,

Twee mooie details op deze foto, een van de dakconstructie en de andere van de trein.
De wazige silhouetten van de bewegende mensen geeft een mooie dementie, ook het perspectief is goed.

Hi Bert,
The Yellow train stands out well on this shady and grey station. You have capture well all those people coming and going, though I'm not sure of the nearest character whether it's baneficial to the result. Public transport of Berlin provides so muct to see, I should go there again some day.
