Photographer’s Note

A sunny saturday afternoon view on the Wupper-valley
and the remains of the old Castle Nesselrath.

Here and here i already showed the castle from below
- now i finally made it on top of the hill behind it.

The castle and the family nesselrode were first
mentioned in 1303. It was reconstructed in 1536,
burnt out in 1847 and finally torn down in 1850.
The remains and new buildings are nowadays used as a farmhouse.
