Photographer’s Note

This is the baroque church of the small village Oberhörlen (~ 800 inhabitants) in the federal state Hessen. The village first was mentioned in a deed of the year 1327 and the first church is proven here in 1332. It got it's today appearance by several building activitiesin the 18th century. One cannot see it - but the nave of this church is a half-timbered building.

Already in 1526 reformation was instituted in this region and in 1540 the first protestant priest took office in Oberhörlen.

Bonjour Frank,

Voilà une petite église qui prend bien la lumière, je vois qu'une partie de l'Allemagne a eu une belle journée ensoleillée. Les contrastes avec ce joli ciel bleu sont agréables. Dommage que la porte était fermée car l'intérieur doit être superbe. Une photo intéressante. Je me suis permis un petit atelier pour le plaisir.

Bonjour Franck,
Je me demande entre l'arbre et l'église, lequel est le plus vieux:-)L'édifice est d'une fausse simplicité et j'aime sa blancheur très bien traitée qui donne de la fraicheur aux batiments. Ce qui fait qu'il est bien agréable de silloner l'Allemeagne et ces petits villages. Le branchage tortueux de cet arbre est superbe et se détache joliment du ciel bleu qui fait rever!

cette église baroque est superbe sur ce fond de ciel bleu et filets de nuages blancs et cet arbre élégant devant encore dénudé, mais on l'imagine avec ses feuilles et également les ombres sur le mur de l'église

Hallo Frank. Deine Gallerie ist wirklich eine Fundgrube für alle, die an Heimatgeschichte interessiert sind. Es ist sehr reizvoll, diese Dörfer, Häuser Kirchen und Landschaften zu sehen. An der Kirche gefällt mir besonders das mit Schiefer gedeckte Dach; ich mag dieses Material sehr. Viele Grüße, Wolfgang.

Eglise remarquable sur le plan architectural qui change de nos clochers pointus !
Toutefois, je remarque que le coq est bien présent au faîte du clocher !
J'aime l'ambiance qui se dégage de l'ensemble avec cet arbre déployant élégamment ces branches.
Une très belle prise de vue.

An attractive combination of thse two prominent elements here; the tree and the church. The tree provide a veryirregular form and the church the complete opposite. A good capture!

Hallo Frank,
eine schöne Kirche und ein fast noch schönerer Baum daneben.
Dein Blickwinkel ist hier besonders gut gewählt. Die Grösse von Baum und Kirche kommen so besonders gut zur Geltung. Der leicht bewölkte blaue Himmel bildet einen tollen Hintergrund. Das Licht und die Farben sind sehr schön. Die Belichtung ist dir ebenfalls sehr gut gelungen, was bei weissen Gebäuden nicht immer einfach ist. Auch die Schärfe ist sehr gut. Zusammengefasst, hier stimmt einfach alles! Gratulation.

Again an interesting looking church from your country. I like the composition with the tree and the curving road included. The tree adds a lovely graphical element against the blue sky. Beautiful light and good natural colours, excellent clarity and sharpness. TFS!
