Photographer’s Note

This is the baroque church of the small village Oberhörlen (~ 800 inhabitants) in the federal state Hessen. The village first was mentioned in a deed of the year 1327 and the first church is proven here in 1332. It got it's today appearance by several building activitiesin the 18th century. One cannot see it - but the nave of this church is a half-timbered building.

Already in 1526 reformation was instituted in this region and in 1540 the first protestant priest took office in Oberhörlen.
