Photographer’s Note
Nurnberg castle or Kaiserburg, is one of the most important castles in the history of the German empire. It attained its massive present size in three stages of construction between the 11th and the 15th centuries. Combined with the city defenses, this is a site that justifies a lengthy tour.
For its earliest 500 years this castle was the residence of all Germany's kings and emperors, and hosted virtually all important leaders and royalty of the time. While German emperors never had an actual capitol or home base as such, Nurnberg came as close as to this distinction as possible. It is one of the very few castles to have had the official privilage of housing the imperial regalia and bear the symbol of the empire on its walls.

Hello Mik Eo! You think it is "just" a castle and then you look closer and you see this little boy playing in the foreground, and I guess this makes the picture special, at least for me. Tiny detail and yet it is a big difference. He looks so petit in front of this huge building. Happy Sunday ... Barbara.

the boy in red should be an attractive point in the composition but with that hue of the stones, not so much, but it add a scale

Ciao dear Mik,
This is a photo done with an excellent technical quality, where the good management of the light and the perfect sharpness allow us to admire all the single bricks that composes this detail of the castle. Good to also insert in the composition the human presence, with that point of red that magnetizes the eye. Really a good composition, compliments!
Ciao, have a nice week!

Hej, najbardziej podoba mi sie ten czerwono ubrany czlowieczek pod wieżą;). Byłam w Norymberdze dawno temu, fantastyczne miasto, pełne zabytków, bardzo mi sie podobalo. Znakomita prezentacja tej obronnej wieży. Fajne okiennice. A co tam teraz robiecie? Na wakacjach, czy słuzbowo? Pozdrawiam M.

Hi A&M,
always a surprise, how many buildings have "faces". A nice example that you got here. It´s the same with cars, but here it´s more obvious that designers do it with purpose.
Cheers, compliments, Christian
