Photographer’s Note
Back to my summer trip to Austria and Germany.
This is a piece of the old Roman wall in Regensburg. It seems that they have preserved the ancient wall by incorporating it into the more recent construction.
Regensburg is located in Bavaria, Germany, located at the confluence of the Danube and Regen rivers, at the northernmost bend in the Danube. To the east lies the Bavarian Forest. Regensburg is the capital of the Bavarian administrative region Upper Palatinate. The large medieval center of the city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Hallo Asa!
Germans seem to be resourceful! ;-)) I've never seen this - but this really is worth a photo. A wonderful and most interesting architectural detail of this famous city. One even can see the steeples of its cathedral (I think).
Greetings from wet and cool Germany!

Bonjour Asa

Amicalement

Hi Asa,
Very interesting to see all those old stones of the Roman wall built into the relatively modern house. All the people here are adding a lot of life here, but it would certainly be more interesting to meet all those persons who once built this wall...
Best regards

Hi Asa,
The diagonal line made by the street is an asset to the composition. The presence of the people has an effect of scale. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the roman wall and of the building. The quality of the light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Bonjour, cher Asa,

Hello Asa,
I appreciate the image, very useful to show the beauty and the historical interest, and also the ingeniousness of the inhabitants to integrate the old stones in the construction industries in order to preserve them. Beautiful light and colors. Cheer.

Hi Asa,
Beautiful capture of this beautiful German architecture that is seen in bright mid day light.
Love how the old Medieval buildings are seen in bright light and stand out so well against the vivid blue sky while the pedistrians are seen in peaceful afternoon shadows.

Bonjour Asa,
une photo qui pour moi manque un peu de résolution et de netteté mais dont les couleurs sont splendides. Une architecture vraiment particulière, qui vaut la photo, de bonnes lumières pour en voir les détails.
Best regards.
Daniel.

Hallo Asa,
LOL at least they saved on building costs by reusing this old piece of wall, and in the building industry the older the better, not sure modern structures will stand as lond as this wall, good documentary image.
Have a nice day JY

It is amazing to see when they are able to use the old original stones from times past and incorporate them into the newer architecture. In this case it seems they made a good job of it. Interesting to see someone else taking a photo of it.
