Photographer's Note
The marzipan capital of the world, Lubeck, is also known as the town of seven spires. Seven pointy towers well visible from a distance seem at first quite similar but to get an orientation in the old town I learned fast the subtle differences. My favourite spire was that of St Jakobi church (consecrated 1334). It has a characteristic four balls in four corners at the base of the spire. This POV includes in the foreground a monument of German poet and playwright, Emanuel von Geibel (1815-1884) who was born in Lubeck.
I considered correcting the perspective here but a slight tilt enhances a bit the feeling that we are all together with the statue looking up at the tower. As you see I am reaching again into my archives. I have uploaded in the past several pictures from Lubeck (CLICK HERE) all of them at the blue hour.

Hi Mariusz
lovely composition this. I love the crop and the light gives so much character and beauty to the colours and rich textures. Superbly sharp and creatively presented, really like it!

Bonjour Mariusz,
J'aime beaucoup cette composition. On dirait vraiment que la statue admire l'architecture sans probablement se rendre compte que sa couleur ressemble ŕ s'y méprendre ŕ cette du clocher.

Hello Mariusz,
nice the tight frame with the big clock of the bell tower to dominating the image, with the statue on the right to complete the image.I like the excellent light and colour management as the contrast of the colours.

Witaj Mariusz
Great compositon, the statue really seems to look up on the tower. Being made of the same material the statue and the rooftop of the tower complete each other nicely.
have a good evening

Hi dear Mariusz
Yes he seems to be enjoying the view as much as the rest of us! And he matches the greenish metals in the spire behind. A very colour coordinated statue and with good architectural taste. I like the vertical and the tight framing, which allows us to compare and contrast the FG statue with the BG architecture. Excellent depth of field here too.
Thanks for sharing, have a lovely evening

Hi M,
It is easy to enjoy architecture in Euroupe for it has longer history and there were many old building thats are built to impress. Now away building are build for more practical reasons and economical reason.
The statue certainly have the good idea to sit there and really taking it all in. Excellent POV you chose to include the statue in the foreground looking in. It allow us to follow his gaze and look in toward the church tower.
Everything is good technically and well planned composition.
Thanks,
Way

Hi Mariusz,
this framing is original, because you have centred our attention on the statue in foreground, that seems to be looking at the elegant spire of the church, sacrificing its top.
But it is not a problem, since your composition is based on the statue enjoying the architecture, under a nice game of lights and shades.
It's a beautiful work.
Best regards,
Josep

Hi Mariusz
I find the scene nicely balanced, the position of the statue and the spire are well juxtaposed in limited color pallette, well textured with your usual crispness and clarity. I love how small areas of bright colors pop out stunningly against the deep blue background. This is super shot and so very well rendered, Congrats.
Kind regards

cześć
Wspaniały ciasny kadr mieszczący jednakże i imponująca wieżę kościoła i pomnik zamyślonego poety, pomnik już mocno spatynowiony. Ta zielona patyna tu dominuje i wspaniale kontrasuje z czerwonymi cegłami. Doskonała jakość obrazu.
Pozdrawiam

Hi Mariusz
I really appreciate the Ws photos as it reminds me exactly where you took this shot and the Spires you mentioned.
this one is obviously a close up version, and a humorous compo too with the man 'enjoying' the architecture.
its cool how a simple but smart compo can make the scene.
thanks for this one!
looking forward to some new posts from you again :)
cheers

Hi Marius.
Sensational, this close-up, showing us in great detail the beautiful sculpture that appears to be contemplating the beautiful tower.
It is a beautiful work that we enjoy thanks to the good sharpness, beautiful colors and high brightness.
Well done.
Have a nice day.
Best regards.

Hello Mariusz
Picture taken 6 years back! Hmm...
This is a good architecture picture, where quite a bit of thought has gone in during composition. Framing is a bit tight, but the well balanced composition tends to override it. You have also done a bit of framing with the silhouetted leaves, which is also good. I like it...a creative work!
Best Regards

Fajnie skadrowales, rzeczywiscie gosc na pomniku zdaje sie podziwiac te zielona wieze, do ktorej sie dobrze dopasowal kolorystycznie.. Stolica marcepanu? Jak bylam w Toledo, to tam byly tez wymyslne duze konstrukcje z marcepanu.
